CASSANDRA MICHELLE KALMAKOFF

June 7, 1988 - March 6, 2021

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Cassandra Kalmakoff on March 6, 2021.

Cassandra was born at the St Boniface hospital in Winnipeg Manitoba to Mike and Michelle Kalmakoff. She spent her life in Winnipeg with the exception of a year and a half shortly after she was born, in which the family moved to Melville Saskatchewan. After a year and a half the family returned to Winnipeg and that's where Cassandra did her schooling and remained for the rest of her short life.

After graduation from grade 12 she started working in homecare and also went back to school to become a healthcare aide. She worked at St Amant center for 8-10 years as a healthcare aide before becoming ill. She then moved back home with her parents and she progressively became more ill till her passing at the young age of 32.

Cassandra was predeceased by her grandparents on both sides; her father Michael (2020); her eldest sister Brandy (2017); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She leaves to mourn her passing her Mother Michelle; her brothers, Curtis and Michael Jr.; her sister Letitia (Dan); Aunts, Linda (Patrick), Millie, Donna, Sally (Sylvie), Susie (Lawrence), Georgina (John), Phyllis (Omar), and Lydia (Jim); Uncles Vern (Cathy), Bernard (Bev), Lenny, and George (Rosie); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Cassandra was a very beautiful loving young lady who loved life and lived life to the fullest; her favorite time was spent with her special niece Ainslee and brother Curtis.

She is loved and will be missed by everyone that had the honor of knowing her.

My deepest condolences to you Michelle, and your family. Cassandra had the kindest heart and had a way of making everyone around her feel special. We shared so many laughs watching Adam Sandler movies, after my screams whenever we watched a scary movie and on amusement park rides! I have so many fond memories of our times at Winnipeg Beach- boating, fishing (we couldn’t stop laughing when my husband caught a boot), campfires and playing hundreds of card games out on the deck. She was one of a kind, and will be greatly missed! RIP Cassandra. xo
