LISA MICHELLE KEKS

September 25, 1967 - August 31, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister Lisa in Winnipeg. Lisa fought a courageous battle with cancer and chose the date of her passing. Lisa shared her cancer journey on social media and was an advocate for removing the stigma of women’s cancers.

Lisa was predeceased by her father Frank Keks; mother Barbara Keks; and brother Colin Keks.

Lisa leaves her brothers, Laird (Tory) and Kirby (Tracy); along with nephews Christopher, Brandon, Brendan, Bryden and Landon; and nieces Alex and Lauren and Aunt Susan Heim. Lisa’s good friend and caregiver Odete was with her to the end.

The family wishes to thank the Doctors and Nurses who cared for Lisa.

There will be no service by request. Cremation has taken place. Should you wish donations to CancerCare Manitoba would be appreciated.

Your pain is gone, Rest in Peace dear Lisa.

RIP Lisa, I am sad we did not have time to reconnect. You are an inspiration to others. Rest well my friend. ❤

Ever ever COOL! Not a Harley but a motorcycle on the wee island of Aga Galini, Greece. 👍

I love our brilliant yesterdays! So many incredible adventures; cross province and country softball, Brerton Lake, and Europe. Nikk, you left a piece of you  in all of those you touched. I hope you are at peace. Hugs, Wend
