WAYNE WILLIAM KELLY

December 4, 1938 - February 7, 2024

Wayne passed very peaceful on Wednesday morning while sitting in his favorite chair watching one of his favorite TV shows – Highway 401.

Wayne was born and raised at Winnipeg Beach where his parents owned a restaurant. He retired from Richardson Securities after 35 years of service. In his retirement he enjoyed riding his bike and watching trucking shows.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years Audrey, his son Corey (Angelica), daughter Jodie, grandchildren Cody, Cristal (Brad), Dawson and his three beautiful great grandchildren Zayden, Zoey and Zariyah.

He was predeceased by his son Cameron, father Victor, mother Alice, in laws Joan and Andy.

We extend a sincere thank you to all who have reached out to us during this difficult time showering us with love, care and concern.

Our family are forever grateful to Dr. David Breckman, Nicole and all the home care staff who attended to Wayne and will miss their cheerful and professional care. Also, thank you to all the first responders who came to our home that morning. What a wonderful group of people!

We also would like to thank Ethical Death Care Cremation and Funeral Home for their excellent and professional service.

As per Wayne’s request immediate cremation has taken place and there will be no service. One of Wayne’s other requests was that we Love One Another. There is nothing greater than Love.

Rest eternal grant unto to Wayne Dear Lord and let light perpetual shine upon him! Amen.

Wayne's family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Audrey and family I’m sorry for your loss.

I knew Wayne and Audrey while working at Richardson Securities in the Trust and Loan Building during my summer employment in High school.  I was the youngest one in the department and used to talk to Wayne a lot. I was also the third wheel while they were dating as I would tag along with them on lunch dates a few times.  After Richardson’s moved into 1 Lombard Place I worked there full time and used to run the JR Grey Cup Pools. For years Audrey would write up all the 400 and 100 squares sheets we used in the 2 pools and Wayne would print them up for distribution across Canada, London England, and Hong Kong.

Both Wayne and Audrey were such good people and to this day I think of them when I reminisce about the “good old days”

Dear Audrey and family:  It is with deep sorrow that we learned that Wayne had passed away.  Doug and Wayne shared many memories from their early days at Winnipeg Beach.  I was certainly  impressed with Wayne's knowledge of the printing processes at work and how well maintained his operations were looked after.

We truly send our sincere wishes that your memories of Wayne will be  a reminder of the man he was.  With our love and sympathies,

Val (Hiebert) Steeves

I have fond memories of Wayne from when the Kellys were our neighbours across the backlane from us in Westwood.  I remember him taking Corey, Jodie and I of a tour of his work at the printing press in the Richardson building back in the late 70s.  He oftern made notepads for us out of scrap paper with our names printed on them.  Our family always remembered him on his birthday, December 4th, which he shared with my mom.

Audrey, Jodie, Corey and family, may all of your love and memories comfort you during this difficult time.  Hazen joins me in sending our deepest sympathy.
