MARIETTA (MARIE) J.G KINNEAR

It is with great sadness that we annouce the passing of our beautiful mother, Marietta (Marie) Kinnear. She passed away on November 9th, 2022, at the young age of 51 years. Marie leaves behind four wonderful children; Alexander (Alex) Kinnear, Jean-Micheal (JM) Morrissette, Jewles (Jewjew) Morrissette, and Jade (Justice Divine) Morrissette.

Marie was the fabric of her family and loved them fiercely. She will forever be loved, cherished, and honoured by all who have known her in this life. For her children and recently adopted family there will be a place in their hearts that will forever ache to see her smile, hear her voice, or feel her gentle hand on their shoulder again. There will always be a seat waiting for her by the fire at the cabin by the lake.

A celebration of Marie’s life will be held at The Indigenous Family Centre at 470 Selkirk Ave on Saturday, December 10th, 2022, from 2pm until 7pm.

A sacred fired will be kept during that time for anyone wishing to offer their prayers for Marie and her family.
