KIMBERLEY ANN KOLBA

"Granny"

April 4, 1959 - March 20, 2019

On March 20, 2019, with family by her side, Kimberley passed peacefully into the next chapter of her life.

Kimberley was predeceased by her partner Henry Samson; parents Elsie and Michael Kolba; as well as nephew Shawn Kolba. Kimberley is survived by her sons Rick Brown and Tyler Kolba; daughters Corrin (Darcy) Toews and Ashley Kolba (Will Lowry); grandsons Jayden and Kaleb Brown (Ashley Jones); granddaughters Ocean and Anaka Toews, Lexi-Ann and Lily Lowry; sisters Wendy (Norman) Lyons, Bev (Andy) Shalagan, Donna (Fox) Daniels, Janice (Guy) Sicotte, Michele (Gary) Kolba; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Kim was the third child of Michael & Elsie Kolba, Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 4, 1959, and made Winnipeg her home. She grew up alongside all her sisters; Wendy, Donna, Beverly, Janice & Michele. Her childhood was filled with tons of memories and life experiences. She grew up in her childhood home in the North end. She worked at various places during her lifetime, as she was a hard worker.

The joys of Kimberley’s life were her children, and grand babies, as she called them. You could always go to Kim's place and know you would be welcomed and fed, as well as most likely be picked on. Kim's place was the place for anyone to go, she had an open door and an open heart and gave everything she had to anyone who needed. Get togethers needed no reason and happened often. Kim liked to travel with her partner "Samson" and her children, she especially loved travelling to Hope, British Columbia. Mom loved to spend time outside, gardening, weeding and then came along the grand babies who spent all summer with Granny enjoying the sun.

A private Celebration of Kimberley’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 30, 2019. Please contact immediate family for address.

The family would like to give a special thank-you to Jason and Vanessa from St. Boniface Hospital for taking care of their mother as if she was their own.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a charitable donation in Kimberley’s name to the Manitoba Cancer Care Foundation
