ANDREW KOTT

February 24, 1958 – November 28, 2023

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved father at the age of 65.

Cherishing his memory are his two daughters, Jordan and Lauren.  He is also remembered by his brothers Tim (Colleen) and Tony, nephews Nicholas and Michael, numerous cousins and his 2 cats, Axel and Taz.

He was predeceased by his parents Nick and Anita, his sister Kathy and brother Marty.

Dad worked as a mainframe technical support specialist at CWB, IBM, Great West Life (Canada Life).  He also worked at MPI and McDiarmid Lumber, which he always said was the best job he ever had.  He retired from Canada Life in 2022.  Dad enjoyed having bonfires, watching the cats play outside, watching movies and keeping up with what was going on in the world. He also continued his interest in technology and expanding his knowledge.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the great care and compassion provided by the staff at St. Boniface Hospital.

Cremation has taken place and a small graveside burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Our condolences to Jordan and Lauren. Andy was our neighbour for the last 8 years. He was a really nice man and we would see him often having bonfires in the backyard with his kitties. He will be missed. -The Larsons

I worked with Andy at CWB. He was that friend that I no longer saw very often but the moment we would reconnect, it would feel like yesterday. Always caring and was easy to talk to. He will be greatly missed! May our prayers comfort his family and friends.

I worked with Andy at the CWB for many years as well.   He was a wonderful, intelligent colleague that you could always count on to get the job done.  But so witty he brought a smile to the work day.  Many warm memories of days brightened by his humour and unforgettable laugh.  A kind friend.   My thoughts and prayers are with family at this time.

Andy was a very nice guy.  He always had some witty funny comment on any conversation.  Always made you laugh... I worked with him at the Canadian Wheat Board. Very smart IT technical fella always willing to help.  Played hockey with him and socialized in our younger years. Andy always made it fun. t was a pleasure to have known him. Deepest of condolences to his family. 🙏
