BARBARA DIANE KRAMBLE NIGHTINGALE

June 14, 1971 – June 27, 2022

Our beautiful, loving, devoted, talented and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, teacher and friend passed away peacefully at Riverview Hospital on June 27, 2022 with her family by her side.

Barb is survived by her husband Keith, her sons Isaac and Quinn, her brother Barry and her parents Barry and Diane Kramble as well as many loving friends and family.

Barb was born on June 14, 1971, to Barry and Diane Kramble and lived on Rosseau Avenue in Transcona along with her older brother Barry Jr.

Grade school was a breeze for this ultra intelligent and extremely beautiful young lady. She finished high school with honors and managed to excel in sports and friendships. It didn't matter which sport from ringette, table tennis, basketball, volleyball, soccer or track and field, Barb was donning the C on her left shoulder, also picking up a few MVP honours or finishing first in individual sports. Friendships came naturally to her and were maintained by respect and her genuine ability to touch people's lives.

She carried on her natural gift to touch lives and obtained 2 degrees - a Bachelor of Arts Honours and Bachelor of Education Honours at the University of Manitoba, which led to her teaching for over 25 years of inspiration and dedication to the River East Transcona School Division. She was loved by so many students. I have a closet full of thank you cards and gifts, ..... ah yes, some of them very creative, from kids who deemed her loving and caring!!!!

Barb served on many Boards and Committees to help maintain what she believed in, providing a connection and hope to every child!!

Barb married Keith Nightingale, in 1998 and had 2 awesome boys to follow, Isaac and Quinn. These boys would grow to be extremely loved and inspired by their mother!! She gave them so many experiences in life from Disney World 3 different times, to Annecy, France, or another successful weekend at the lake, to growing a caterpillar into a butterfly, to a kiss on the boys forehead every night before bed.

Barb you will be so missed by so many people. Your family was so blessed to have had the time with you. As your husband I can only dream about you - your comforting voice, infectious laugh, always knowing what to say and your beautiful room lighting smile.

You physically left this world too early but managed to leave so much love and inspiration for your family down here, YOU are going last FOREVER in our Hearts and Minds !

I will carry on our dreams and hopes for our boys!! You're going to be even prouder!!!!
I Love you my "Everything"!!!

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will take place at Canad Inn (3rd floor) Casino Hotel at 1415 Regent Avenue West. Doors open at 6:30 PM on Tuesday July 12, 2022.

In lieu of flowers she would prefer donations be made to Manitoba Cancer Research to further studies in dealing with dreaded brain disease.

❤ Barb was a light as she entered a room. She was funny, positive and sweet as she told beautiful stories about herself and her family. Barb spoke so proudly of Isaac and Quinn. She will be fondly remembered by all of the lives she touched. My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. Sincerely Pat Sakundiak

I remember Barb as an exceptional teacher. She was extremely professional and worked very hard to give each of her students what they needed to be successful. Her smile lit up her classroom, and, indeed, the school as a whole. She was thoughtful and kind and made many contributions to school life. Our thoughts and love go out to Diane, Barry and Barry Jr. and to Keith, Issac and Quinn. Terry and Ken Thomson

I feel lucky to have known Barb as a colleague first, and then, very quickly, as a friend. She lit up every room she walked into, and had a gift for making everybody she spoke to feel important and valued. Barb was talented at teaching literacy, and watching her with her students was a lesson in the power of patience and enthusiasm as a teacher. She was the same as a parent - nobody was a bigger cheerleader for her children than Barb. Isaac and Quinn; your mom loved you so very much, and she was incredibly proud of both of you. Barb, I will miss our time together as colleagues, and especially as friends. You are already missed, my friend.

I knew Barb through our children.  Hannah met Isaac in Kindergarten and our youngest Grace and Quinn also met in Kindergarten.  Whenever we would run into each other we would always share stories about our kids.  Barb was a devoted mother who loved her boys so much.  We are so sorry for your loss.

My friend and colleague through my teaching career will be sadly missed. Barb was a special person with a generous heart, caring ways and loving actions. She taught with dedication and interest for each of her students. Her friendship will always be treasured as she was a beautiful person inside and out. My sympathies go out to Keith, her sons and family. May they find strength, comfort and peace during this difficult time.

I was a childhood ringette teammate with Barb, and she taught our daughter Samantha Kindergarten. I was saddened to hear that she had passed. She was a great athlete in her day and a fabulous teacher who contributed to our child's early education. "Teachers plant seeds of knowledge that grow forever."  - Jennifer Martin
