JIM MICHAEL KYRZYK

September 19, 1955 – May 16, 2026

A legend finally earned his

wings to the spirit in the sky.

Fly high, Jim-Bo.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jim Michael Kyrzyk on May 16, 2026.

Predeceased by parents, Mike and Joyce Kyrzyk.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Darlene Ladobruk; step kids Dina and Drake; granddaughter Rylee; Son Greg (Daisy), granddaughters Kyla and Tyra; grandsons, Tegan and Chase. Daughter Jennifer, granddaughters Bella and Montana. His Brothers Davey and Larry (Linda) Sister Colleen (Bob) and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews… also cousin Carol, they had a very special bond. Along with many other family, friends, cousins, and coworkers.

Jimmy started his job (HVAC) at the age of 18. He received his journey certificate and gas ticket. He worked at various companies and finished his last job at NRG. He loved his job and helping all the people with installing furnaces for friends and family.

Jim was proud of his 1974 Corvette, great times with that car.

Jim loved racing at Bison Speedway with his AMX Javelin. Jim went to the country to dirt bike and help around the farm with hauling bales, moving cattle and harvesting. After working all day, he loved going to the dances with friends.

With all his country buddies, Jim played hockey with the goats and in St. Malo he played baseball with Tolstoi goats most weekends. He helped win the Tin Cup (Hockey League). In the hockey dressing room, his nickname was “Hollywood.” His hair was always perfect even during the game.

Jimmy’s two favourite things were fishing and snowmobiling, and his favourite place was at the lake at Heather Fishing & Game (HGF), where he enjoyed time with friends and family.

Sadly, in 2012, he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. His brother Davey donated his stem cells and till he passed he was still in remission.

In 2021, he had heart surgery (aorta). It took a toll on him, but he was a fighter.

He was on dialysis from 2022–2026. From 2022–2026 he battled several issues and his heart finally gave out May 16, 2026.

Per Jim’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at HGF on July 4, between 12–5 p.m. East on 313, over the skinny bridge, turn south onto Riverland Road, then west on Riverland to HGF. Signs will be posted.

You will be forever

in our hearts

and dearly missed.

Jimmy was much more than a cousin to me — he was one of my closest friends, my fishing partner, my golfing buddy, and someone who held a very special place in my heart. Being born on the same day, September 19th, nine years apart, created a bond between us that few cousins ever have the privilege of sharing.

Some of my most cherished memories are the countless hours we spent together fishing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, golfing, and sitting around a campfire sharing stories and songs. No matter how many people were gathered around, Jimmy and I always seemed to find ourselves stealing the show with our favorite duet, "Don't Cry Joni." Those moments of laughter, friendship, and pure joy are memories I will treasure forever.

As I reflect on a lifetime of memories, I realize that what made them so special wasn't what we were doing — it was who I was doing them with. Jimmy had a way of making every day better. He was kind, caring, generous, and always ready with a helping hand, a warm smile, or a good laugh. He touched the lives of so many people simply by being himself.

My heart is broken knowing that there will be no more fishing trips, no more rounds of golf, no more snowmobile rides, and no more campfire duets. The loss feels immeasurable because the love and friendship we shared were immeasurable too.

I will miss Jimmy more than words can express, but I am forever grateful for the gift of having him in my life. The memories we created together will remain in my heart always, and I will carry a part of him with me wherever I go.

Until we meet again, my dear Cuz.

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Darlene and the entire family. May you find comfort in the love that surrounds you and in the countless memories of a remarkable man who was loved beyond measure and will never be forgotten.
