ANDRÉ LAFLÈCHE

April 13, 1934 – August 2, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of André LaFlèche, age 90, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather.

André was the beloved husband of Lillian LaFlèche (née Devriendt), who stood by his side for 69 years, sharing countless memories and enduring love. He was a devoted father to his son, Jean Paul, and loved his daughter-in-law, Manon Tremblay, like one of his own.

As a grandfather, André’s two granddaughters, Annabelle and Chloe, were the light of his life, bringing him boundless happiness and fulfillment. He was also a cherished brother, uncle and friend.

André was a man of compassion, laughter and family values, leaving behind a lasting impact on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who have had the chance to share a laugh and drink with him.

Words cannot express the care, compassion, and the love that André was shown by the 6th floor staff at Deer Lodge during his stay. We will be forever grateful!

As per André's wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Andre’s memory to Deer Lodge Centre Foundation.

André’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Dear Mrs. LaFleche,

Recently having been informed of Andre's passing, I was saddened at the news.

As a former member of the Winnipeg Golden Chordsmen Barbershop Chorus during most of the 1980's, I have clear memories of Andre. with his ever-present smile, lively personality and ready humour.. He was a genuinely nice man..

Extending sympathy with you and your family

Sincerely

Dear Lillian, our sincere condolences. We have very fond memories of Andre singing in the Winnipeg Golden Chordsmen barbershop chorus (1977 to 1987). He was such a great performer! I am sure that he will be singing "In Harmony" with his riser mates in the Barbershop Chapter Eternal

Remembering the fun times playing Belgian Bowling at their beautiful Delta cottage. As well, in later years, sharing a drink and playing Dominos - always a hoot! Our sympathy, love and prayers go out to Lillian, J.P. and family.

A real firecracker and genuinely lovely man. The world is a little less colorful without him but so much better that he was here. Grateful to have shared a laugh with him.
