Paulette LaFrenier

PAULETTE (DIANE) LAFRENIER
(née LaChance)
May 22, 1942 - April 12, 2026
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Mother Paulette LaFrenier.
Mom was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Alice LaChance; and her brother Raymond.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sister Lorraine (who helped mom all through her care); Doris (George), Jeanine (Jack), Agnes (Wayne); and brother Robert (Bonnie).
Mom will lovingly be remembered by her children, Michael (Karen) and Susan (Rory); grandchildren, Jessica (Brian) and Piet Michael (Elyne); and her great grandchildren, Dean and Nina. Many nieces and nephews as well, including her best friend Valli (Bill).
Mom worked hard as a single parent. There isn’t a day that passes we don’t recall all she has done for us. She gave us joy, love and so many laughs.
Our warmest thanks for the care she received at Actionmarguerite St.Boniface.
In accordance with mom’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.

Our Wife,Mother and Grandchildren were friends of Paulette and Lorraine and looked forward to our weekly visits where we would see Lorraine walking the halls with Paulette on one side and and our mother on the other side with the three of them ,holding hands and smiles on all their faces. We ,Thank you both for being our friends.

One of the last Christmas eves before Grandma passed, a few of us were at at Little Grandma's for a visit and the fireplace channel was on TV. Out of nowhere Aunty Paulette whips off her socks, throws them across the room and yells its so hot in here!! She was always good at making everyone laugh. And once she was laughing everyone was. I will miss her.

Paulette, my life time friend. You were the friend who never judged, always listened and stood
by usthrough everything. You made even the ordinary moments unforgettable. Losing you feels
like losing a part of myself. Friendship like yours comes once in a lifetime. Thank you for the
gift of your friendship. Until we meet again. Hugs & love Valli & Bill.

For my entire life, I can honestly say I have NEVER seen Aunty Paulette without a smile or that identifiable laugh. She was around a lot when I was growing up, she lit a room up with her presence.. I am thankful for every time I got to be around her, share in the laughs, and see how she made my mom (Doris) smile. A great person through and through... thank you for being that person to me, to Kevin, and to Santana and Ambrose. You are loved and will be missed.
