CAROL ANNE LANGTON
(NÉE ADAMS)
June 18, 1941 – April 30, 2025
Peacefully, with family by her side, Carol Anne (née Adams) Langton passed away at Grace Hospital on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the age of 83 years.
Carol Anne will be sadly missed by her son, Ken (Brenda); son-in-law, Jason; grandchildren, Alyson (David), Madison (Cameron), Liam (Kaitlin), Sydney (Lucas), and Ethan; four great-grandchildren, Bennett, Emerson, Clarence, and Lorelai; and nieces and nephews. Carol Anne is predeceased by her husband Bill of 60 years; daughter Darlene; and brother George.
Carol Anne was born on June 18, 1941, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She married Bill on January 27, 1963, then moved to Germany where Bill was assigned while in the Canadian Air Force. During their four-year stay in Germany, they travelled extensively through Europe and welcomed the births of their children, Ken and Darlene. In 1967, they returned to Canada, first settling in Portage la Prairie and then New Brunswick, forging lifelong friendships along the way. After Bill's retirement, they returned to Winnipeg to be closer to family. Carol Anne began her teaching career at that time, teaching primary grades at Dr. Hamilton School in Birds Hill, until her retirement.
A talented quilt maker and seamstress, Carol Anne crafted over 100 intricate quilts and sewed gorgeous wedding gowns for both of her children’s weddings. She enjoyed walking, playing the piano, singing with the “Sisters of the Holy Rock” and spending time at the cottage.
The family would like to thank the staff at Irene Baron Eden Centre (Blueberry Bay) that took such good care of Mom for the past year, and the Urgent Care and ICU staff at Concordia and Grace hospitals.
A come and go celebration of Carol Anne’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 26, 2025, at 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy Road.

I had the gift and great joy of singing with Carol Ann in the Sisters from 2000 when I started with the group. Carol Ann was very welcoming, kind and supportive of my progress. She lit up like a candle when she sang and truly brought joy to those in the choir as well as the audiences. I also had the benefit of her uplifting sense of humor when we attended the Red Hat luncheons. She is missed😘
My deepest sympathies to all her family who loved her and are processing her loss. Her love for each of you remains in your hearts forever and your love has journeyed with her soul back to her Divine origin in the heavens above.💖

Carol Anne was a colleague at Dr. Hamilton School. I learned much watching her patient kind teaching of the students in her care. She was a huge influence in many lives. It was a privilege to know her.

I'm so sorry to hear of Carole Anne's passing. I have fond memories of the many years singing with her and my parents in Grey Street United Church choir and the Sisters of the Holy Rock. Both my mom (Shirley), and I thought the world of her, often carpooling together to the many concerts of the Sisters. A sweet memory that still warms my heart is when my parents and I took a little road trip with Bill and Carol Anne in their trailer for one of our out of town Sisters concert. Bill and my dad were quite 'the characters', each finding humor in each other, often to much laughter of mom and Carole Anne. My parents were so taken with the beauty and comfort of traveling in that trailer, as was I. On behalf of my 'heavenly' parents and myself, I can assure you that they adored both your parents and spoke very highly of them.
