BRYAN LARTER

May 20, 1952 - April 1, 2022

Suddenly, on Friday April 1, 2022, Bryan Larter passed away at the age of 69 with his family by his side.

Bryan is survived by his partner of 30 years, Heather; Brother Derek (Barb); Sister Karen; Sons Derek (Amanda) and Aaron (Kaitlynn); stepdaughters Shannon (Peter) and Kristen (Rob); Grandchildren Jayden, Riley, Aaden, Olivia, Octavia & Oaklee; as well as numerous Nieces & Nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry & Ina Larter.

He was born in Selkirk, Manitoba and grew up in St. Andrews, until he moved to Winnipeg.  He had a love for animals like no other and they loved him, especially his Grandogter Pallas who loved playing with Bumpa. Bryan could always be found tinkering in the house or yard and always trying to fix something. Bumpa loved being outside and spending time with his Grandkids; He would always lend a helping hand to the neighbors or anyone that needed and loved walking the kids to and from school. He was happiest spending time with family and friends for a visit or a bonfire in the backyard.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the St. Boniface Emergency Department for the care they provided to Bryan.

As per his wishes Cremation has already taken place and there will be no funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Manitoba Lung Association.

Bryan's family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by watching the photo-biography above. Please, also consider sharing your own photos, memories, and stories by making use of the comment section on this page.

I have been Bryan and Heather’s neighbor for the last 9 years and he was always willing to help me out when he could. I’ll never forget his kindness when I had a pretty significant neck injury and he offered to take down all my Halloween decorations for me. Not to mention the snow blowing he would do for me. I’m going to miss seeing him around the yard for sure. Rest easy Bryan.
