Even though I only saw Dennis once a week for 15 minutes when delivering to Superstore he was my favourite receiver. I always enjoyed joking around with him and talking about politics, Bombers, Jets, etc. He was just an all around nice guy and I'm going to miss our weekly chats. Rest in Peace Dennis and my condolences to his family.

Dennis, my brother in-law, is a wonderful guy. Even though you were only with us for a short while, it was amazing. We appreciate your love and efforts to make our sister happy. You will never be forgotten. We are praying for your eternal rest.

Today, we celebrate the life of Dennis Laurent, a loving father to Riley and Cailin, and to her wonderful wife, Juliet Laurent. Dennis is always reasonable, and wouldn't reserved prejudice to us, his extended Dicdican-Torillos family. We remembered Uncle who embraced Filipino Culture, always fond in tasting new Filipino dishes and liquor drinks. He was always present in Filipino Festivals while cheering her wife Juliet dancing in traditional Folk dance. Uncle Dennis was very cheerful everyone can attest that but he had a lot of flaws. Inspite of all that , one thing admirable to a him, as he liked to attend Sunday Catholic mass, specially in St. Patrick's Church. He have a steadfast relationship with our Lord God, Jesus Christ.

Fo us his immigrant Filipino family, Unlce taught us the Canadian way of life and to avoid BS , just pure hard work and live a simple life.

He had been the face of Real Canadian Superstore, Working all smile compelling good vibes to his co-workers and customers. Behind this, Uncle Dennis had been resilient in facing battles in Life whether it was personal or financial, he copped it all by watching his favorite Hockey sport together with his cold beer. A tough man, just silently bearing it all with the presence of his playful pet, Bella then ready to rise for another day.

We will all missed his weekend outing calls, quick beer drink out, golf plays and hard life talks. His laughter, his warmth, and the love he poured into his home created will dearly be missed. Rest in Peace Uncle!

Dennis and I were friends from a young age as our moms were friends in their school years. We would go to their house for game nights and the kids would be upstairs and the adults would be downstair. Dennis was a loyal friend who always remembered to keep in contact even into our older years. We always talked about our families and our parents. Family was very important to both of us. We also talked about the challenges we faced like brothers would and offer each other advice and support.

Dennis and I have known each other since August 2013 when I arrived in Canada with my cousin Juliet and met his lovely children, Riley and Caitlin. Dennis is a Canadian, but he also has a strong Filipino heart. He is both kind and welcoming. He enjoys going out with Filipino groups. He loves karaoke. He doesn't care if the song doesn't like him as long as he can serenade. He loves cooking and learning Filipino recipes was something he found enjoyable. Dennis has a habit of prioritizing spending time with the people he cares the most. When his kids are little, he makes sure to be there during tournaments and events at school. Spending quality time with his wife Juliet, children, mother Irene and friends is a top priority for him. Dennis is a friend who will listen to you, but he won't make comments or judgments. He is always concerned about the feelings of others. Bud thank you for everything and we are certainly missing you. Rest in peace you are now reunited with your mom and dad in heaven.

The truest friend a person could ask for. Many hours spent watching hockey or hanging around the firepit. You will be dearly missed.
