KURTIS JORDAN LEBLEU-JAMIESON

August 16, 1989 – May 12, 2024

It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness the family announces the sudden and tragic passing of Kurtis Jordan LeBleu-Jamieson on May 12, 2024. Kurt lived in Brandon, Manitoba with his partner Chantel Richard.

He will be missed dearly by his mother Lisa; his father Darren; his sister Katie (Kevin); nephew Julian; niece Olivia; and his beloved partner (Chantel). He was predeceased by his grandparents, Harvey and Donna; and aunt Lori.  He will be missed by many family members and friends, whose lives were touched immensely by his presence. Kurt is fondly remembered as an endearing person, supportive, kind, with an easy-going nature.  Kurt always saw the good in people, and his love for others was unconditional.

Kurt was an empathetic, old soul, with a heart of gold. His kind heart and beautiful personality, made it easy to connect with people and put them at ease. Kurt always expressed genuine happiness when he was reunited with the ones he loved most, and there was never a second of awkwardness. People who were lucky enough to be in his presence for any amount of time, be it one day, one year, or if it was the very first time you were meeting, he made you feel special and loved. Kurt was always willing to help, and it did not take people long to open up to him as he truly took an interest in what you had to say. He loved to laugh, was quick witted, and had that dry sense of humour that would take you a minute before you knew he insulted you.

Kurt was talented at writing and producing music and often wrote poems and songs of his own. He loved anything to do with music, could often be seen wearing headphones, and listened to everything from Alice in Chains, The Doors, Tool, Mac Dre to Nas which helped influence his writing. He was self taught in playing the piano and secretly rapped but only a select few were able to experience this with him.  Kurt was a trendsetter among his friends, and he had a great sense of style.

He loved spending time with family and friends, spoiling his nephew and niece, going to the beach, longboarding, and he became an avid fisherman in the last few years, becoming a true jack of all trades. Kurt surprised everyone with his willingness to try new things and learn new skills. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, and found fun and adventure in every aspect of his life.

The best moments in life are spent with the ones we love most, and we can’t wait to see you again. Kurt, you are in our hearts forever and will be forever loved, until we meet again.

“Ohhhh heyyy, Mr. Niceington, let’s ride”

A celebration of Kurt’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy Road (Unitarian Church).

Kurt’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by watching the photo-biography above. Please, also consider sharing your own photos, memories, and stories by making use of the comment section on this page.

My boy, me boyo, my son, my sun. Thank you for being born. You have made my life so wonderful. Your smile lit up my world. Your light shone brightness on all the things my eyes didn't see. Forever you will be a part of me. No matter how dark it gets, I will not forget all the things that your love showed me. The rest of my life will be spent in the shadow of your residual light. I have no more words except, of course, I love you, my angel. Until we meet again.
