SILVIA LEMECHA (SUTYLA)

December 12, 1945 – September 26, 2026

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Sylvia Lemecha (Sutyla) on September 26, 2026 at the age of 80 years old in Winnipeg, MB.

Sylvia was born in 1945 in Riverton, Mb. Sylvia loved to travel, she loved flowers and animals. Sylvia dedicated her life to her beautiful floral work. She added her special touch to endless family moments throughout the years. She loved to garden and found it therapeutic and healing when she faced hard medical times. Sylvia had the biggest green thumb ever to be seen and it showed in her lush gardens in her yard to her beautiful indoor plants.

Sylvia never met an animal she didn't like or vice versa. She had numerous cats and dogs over the years. She had very special relationships with Cinnamon, Barney, Radar and her beloved Henry who she spoiled rotten.

Sylvia leaves to mourn her two children Cam and Karlie (Chris). She also leaves behind her two grandsons Jackson and Owen, she was a very proud Grandma and never turned down an opportunity to attend their special events or share an ice cream with them. Sylvia leaves her siblings and many kind friends and neighbors that brought her laughter and joy through the years.

We would like to thank her friends and neighbors from her building who showed her kindness and support. We appreciate your care.

To honor Sylvia’s wishes cremation has taken place and her dogs ashes are at rest with her. A private family service will be held to honor Sylvia’s legacy.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society in Sylvia’s honor.

Be at peace,

Mom/Grandma Shoeshe.

Enjoy your dogs,

smell the flowers and

Praline ice cream.

Please watch over us.

Sylvia was unique. When approached she had this beautiful white contagious smile. She always appeared to me to be a happy person. I found her to be kind and thoughtful checking up on me occasionally. She loved arranging flowers, tried her luck with scratch tickets and what she loved most was entertaining. She and her beloved dog "Henry" would sit in the foyer greeting all coming through. Both were very friendly and inviting. She madea lot of friends here and will be greatly missed. Condolences to the family. God has to let her into heaven especially with that smile. May she rest in peace.

Sylvia had many stories about her being in business for 54 years with her flowers which she enjoyed putting together. It was sad

to hear about her sudden passing.

My sincere condolences to the family.

May she rest in Peace.

I remember having Gondola Pizza and Jeannie's cake with Sylvia. Sylvia loved my dog Myia. We all miss her sitting downstairs waiting for the mail and visiting with the people in the building. She gave lots of rides when she could still drive.

She loved her dog Henry. She will be missed by everyone here. I will remembe her with smiles and laughter. She would say to me; if you remember me with tears then don't remember me at all. I love this saying.

May she rest in Peace and have fun in heaven.
