NORMAND JOSEPH PIERRE LEMOINE

August 22, 1946 - May 11, 2022

After a lengthy illness, Normand Lemoine, aged 75, went to be with his Saviour in the early hours of May 11, 2022.

His faith gave him the strength to keep smiling day after day, and even through his suffering he didn’t lose his sense of humour.

He was predeceased by his parents, Pierre Lemoine, November 9, 1982, Yvonne (née Dorge), January 17, 2013, and his little brother René, October 27, 1959.

He leaves to celebrate his memory his children Daniel (Susan), Pierre, René (Sylvie), as well as their mother Nicole, and his grandchildren Alisha and Kayla.

He also leaves behind his brothers and sisters, Carole (Doug), Daniel (Corinne), André (Joanne), Aline (Luc), numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncle.

Special thanks to his fiancée Jocelyne for the love and care she provided Normand during his recent most difficult years.

Norm had a personality that was larger than life. Although intelligent and faithful, he was also playful, charming, and added life to any gathering.

After his childhood years in old St Vital, Norm spent most of his working life in Canada’s north. While raising his family, he worked as an electrician, as well as being a volunteer firefighter, paramedic and being active in the church and community. Later in life, he could enthrall you with some great stories, although accuracy may have been occasionally sacrificed for entertainment value.

In his final years at Deer Lodge, as he suffered through his days, the staff could always count on Norm cheerfully kidding around as they visited patients through their busy days.

The family would like to thank the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital and Deer Lodge Centre, for their kindness and care in the many years he was ill.

There will be a private ceremony and internment to follow at a later date at Green Acres Cemetery, adjacent to his little brother René and his parents.
