Garry Limpright

GARRY LIMPRIGHT
January 1, 1952 - April 21, 2026
After a courageous eight-month battle with cancer, Garry Limpright passed away on April 21, 2026, at the age of 74. He leaves behind a legacy defined by hard work, quiet generosity, and a deep and abiding love for his family.
Garry built a life of purpose and service. Over a 40-year career in the business world, including 28 years with Shell, he worked with integrity and dedication across Manitoba and British Columbia. Whether through his professional life, his community involvement with the Lions and Kinsmen clubs, his board work with seniors organizations, or his years as a committed blood donor, Garry never hesitated to show up for the people around him. That was simply who he was. In 2025, his lifetime of service for work with seniors was recognized with the King Charles III Coronation Medal, an honour that came as no surprise to those who knew him.
But above all else, Garry was a family man. His greatest joy was found in the company of those he loved most. He is survived by his beloved wife and partner of 47 years, Mary Limpright, and their four sons: James Bennett, Chris Bennett, Jason (Felicia) Limpright, and Jeffrey (Shannon) Limpright. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, each one a treasure he cherished deeply. He is also survived by his brother Glen (Cece) Limpright, his sister Judy Limpright, his brother Ron (Karen Fast) Limpright, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
An avid sports fan who loved to watch the games, Garry was the kind of man whose presence made every room warmer. He will be remembered for his generosity of spirit, his steadfast reliability, and the way he loved his people.
There will be no formal service at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Cancer Care or a charity of your choice, in honour of a man who gave so willingly to others throughout his life.
Rest easy, Garry.
You were one of
the good ones.

Our condolences to Mary and the boys and the Limpright family.
Gary was a loyal and lifelong friend. We are going to miss his wit and humour and the many good times we shared with he and Mary over the years. We'll cherish our memories and think of him often.
