Jim loved to travel and had many adventures.  He had a great love for scuba diving and anything with a motor.  He loved his motorcycles most.  The most important thing to Jim was always the people around him and he would often reach out to help when he believed he could make a difference.

Our family is greatly saddened by Jim’s passing.   We will miss his friendship, true kindness, intellect and sense of adventure. We take comfort in remembering the great times we shared over the years.   Jim was part of our family and watched our children grow.   Jim beamed with pride of having is own family.  He adored his step-children and the grand kids that followed.  He often shared their accomplishments and the wonderful adults that they have become. I looked forward to our “Boy’s Night” activities with Jim, Emil and myself playing pool, solving the problems of the world and usually at some point in the night, Jim sharing his thoughts of the Liberal party, Justin and father Pierre. Jim and I shared a passion for diving and twice I had the opportunity to be Jim’s buddy on dive trips as we explored the waters of Cozumel. Though Jim is gone, his memory will live on with us. Our condolences to all the family and friends that were lucky to have known Jim. Sincerely, Doug, Hazel, Chris and Angela Kelly

Jim was a leader. We met in the Kensington community when I was 14. He was the first person I knew to have a paying job, working part time at Army and Navy. He also had a lovable adventurous side, a passion for motorized vehicles, and a love for music. Motorcycles, cars, music, a work ethic, intelligent, and fun is the Jim I will always remember.❤ My heart-felt condolences to Joyce, Bob, Kevin, and Darren❤

Hello Lothians and Windsor Plywood Family. Jim, Dave and I shared many travels and times together; Conventions, staff gatherings, Grey Cup Parties (very good when Winnipeg beat Edmonton} and recently a lunch at one of his favorites 'Pony Corral' plus so much more. Jim and I both loved pepper and I watched him on more than one occasion screw the lid off of the pepper shaker to get what he needed. I expect some of you also saw the same. He was a 'shitty driver" but wouldn't admit it and got defensive when I told him. So glad I don't have to  ride in his passenger seat ever again but if he was still here I could suck it up and take the risk. Lothian family, Dave and I will see you at the Service September 23rd.

I am very saddened to hear of Jim's passing.   He was a good friend and a good neighbour.  Jim, Ron and I shared many Thursdays at Smitty's with wings and beer.   Jim, pull up a chair next to Ron and enjoy a cool one!  My condolences to Jim's family.

Sending our love and condolences to Joyce and the entire family. We always enjoyed conversations with Jim  during his annuals visits to the farm at Christmas and coming home for special occasions, even a trip to Mexico with us and Gina and Darren. Jim was the wise big brother and had an impact on many. We will miss you Jim. Ride on.  ❤

Thanks to my big brother I got to have a safe home when my kids and I had been in an unsavory housing situation . He helped us to have faith that sometimes good things  happen  when you don't expect them . He  believed in me and the support I felt helped me through the tough times . I was proud of his success in life but not nearly as proud as I was of the person and brother he has always been . He always put people first and had a huge heart . Love you brother .
