RANDY LUBA

May 22, 1963 - May 12, 2022

Just shy of his 59th birthday, peacefully Randy left this world to join his mom (Mary) and his favorite boys (cats), Blackie, Goldie, Yucky, and Christopher.

Randy met a lot of people (friends) on social media and while he was travelling through the parks in Winnipeg on his bike. He loved his cats, his various bikes and living life to the fullest. This was Randy's motto of life and this is the way he would want to be remembered.

As everyone thinks of Randy, remember to enjoy life to the fullest no matter who you are and where you come from.

Randy's wishes were to be cremated, no funeral and laid to rest in his favorite places. Randy would say it's not farewell but see you later!

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Craig Street Cats would be appreciated.

Always Happy , had a laugh that inspired others to laugh   So many great parties we had in our youth   Though we moved apart we stayed in touch occasionally and always enjoyed chatting as he was alway positive   RIP my friend and thanks for all the wonderful memories

Randy was a big part of my life in my younger years and always looked for good times and laughter. He was always quick with jokes and was the life of the party and not to mention those countless McDonald's parties. He was an inspiration and a person that people liked to be around, intelligent and witty. I recollect the last time we spoke and you always be remembered until we meet again

We met in our 20's while working in the Deer Lodge kitchen. Randy was always smiling, laughing and happy  Randy used have a saying back then, "I WANT IT ALL" Randy was a techie and he loved his gadgets. Back in the day, we would browse the internet on a 9.6 baud modem via dial-up  He is a big part of the reason I work in IT today. We were the 3 moolies We saw so many bands back then, we loved live music and partying There were the ocassional drunken late night dine & dashes The cars-the White Beetle and the White Audi Randy was a foodie before foodies were cool Randy loved Ken's Restaurant for its Wor Wonton and Chicken Rest in peace my friend, i will miss you king😄

After the Free Press article about his financial difficulties, I reached out to him online, Facebook I think. I had hoped to meet him in person to see if I could help him out but sadly that didn't happen. Like Randy, I'm a HUGE cat fan so that was another thing we had in common.  Rest easy Randy, and condolences to those close to you.

I am so sad to hear of Randy's passing.  I would often bump into Randy out and about downtown and we were friends on social media.  I loved seeing how much he adored his "boys".  He was always so lovely to chat with and will be so missed.

Wow so saddened to hear of Randy passing. Randy was one of my first friends I made when we moved to Toronto St, in 1971 I remember many days running around the neighborhood and the meals I enjoyed at his parents table. Even though we grew apart in later years I would often think of Randy and now only wish I had reached out to re connect. Sincere condolences to his family and relatives. Angelo Garofalo ❤😺

So shocked and saddened to hear Randy has passed away. Randy was a close friend of mine many years ago. Allen and I had so many good times with him! Travelling to Minneapolis to see the Rolling Stones was one of many memorable times with Randy! He had a fantastic sense of humor, was a great conversationalist, had an easy, laid back way about him and LOVED his cats! I will cherish the many photos and videos of the times we shared together. Rest in peace my friend... you are not forgotten.  Love always, Doris May

Randy was a friend to my parents. He was especially close to my father, Allen May, who passed away in 2016. Randy was a very jovial, kind, ‘free bird’ soul. He was very selfless to welcome my sister to live with him briefly several years ago as she needed a place to stay. He welcomed Goldie and Christopher into his home after I found they were strays. Randy shared stories with me that I’ll never forget and definitely brought us lots of laughs. I send my deepest condolences to Randy’s family, loved ones, and his babies (the kitties). He’s a person one could never forget. May he Rest In Peace🤍 see you later!

Randy, big bro it saddens me we only got 17 yrs. Its unfair we lived so close, yet it took so long to finally connect. I'll stand up and be your voice, #60sscoop. Iam grateful you got to meet your real mom and to know you were a Red River Metis. Until we meet again, sis Tamaray.
