ANTJE (ANNE) LYNES

Anne passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 24, 2022 at the age of 76 years. She was born to her parents, Hermannus and Antje, on July 27, 1946 in Hengelo, Netherlands.

In her youth, she immigrated to Canada with her family, settling in Alberta for most of her life thereafter. Mesmerized by "the view of the Rocky Mountains" Anne started her own family in Calgary, and stayed after her children were grown. Along with raising her children, Anne took great pride in being a Girl Guide leader, sharing her smile with the community. As she grew older, she traded in the secretarial jobs she was accustomed to for the retail atmosphere. She had fond memories of the photo lab she worked at since her coworkers were loving and Anne could showcase her kind and helpful nature until she retired. Anne was also stubborn and fiercely independent, however gave into her family's wishes by moving to Manitoba in her last month of life.

She is survived by her younger brother Herman, daughter Barbara and son Patrick, grandchildren Joshua and Ashley, and her great grandchildren.
