DOUGLAS RONALD LYONS

July 1, 1958 - August 8, 2026

Douglas Ronald Lyons was born July 1, 1958, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.


Douglas was predeceased by his parents, Norman Elton Lyons and Emily Lily Lyons. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rachel Lyons; his two sons, Douglas Lyons Jr. and Norman Lyons; and his daughter, Tracy Lyons. Douglas had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, too many to mention, all of whom he loved very much.


Douglas had just retired from the City of Winnipeg in February 2026. Douglas and Rachel looked forward to travelling to their niece's ranch near Rossburn, Manitoba, where they attended sweat lodges for spiritual guidance.

Never any loss of words to talk about, condolences to The Lyons family especially Rachel who he fondly spoke about and worried about.
