ANGELA MANDARANO

08-18-1960 - 12-31-2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Angela Mandarano. Beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, friend, and so much more.

A beautiful soul, loved by so many and taken far too soon. Angela touched the lives of so many and brought so much love, life, colour, creativity, and joy to those around her. A highly skilled woman with so many talents and capabilities, she managed to accomplish so much in her short time here on earth. Her most important and impactful role in life was being an incredible mother to her 3 daughters. She is admired, respected, loved and cherished deeply by them.

She will be greatly missed by all, especially her parents, grandchildren, friends and extended family, but never forgotten. Her strength is an example to live by and is most understood by those that were by her side in her final days. We are so grateful to have had such a beautiful soul bless our lives and will hold every memory and moment spent with her forever in our hearts.

God bless you, Angela (Mom).

Thank you for everything you have endured throughout your life and for

what you gave to so many.

You may rest in peace now and

be free, our beautiful Angel.

Her Celebration of Life was held January 11th, 2025 and attended by close family and friends.

In Lieu of flowers, Angela has requested that donations please be made to the Never Alone Cancer Foundation, who provided support, Kindness and comfort to her throughout her battle with cancer. It was important to her to show her support to this organization as they made such a positive impact on her life during an extremely difficult time.

We would like to thank the team at Ethical Death Care Funeral Home for their exceptional support. Their kindness, empathy, and calming presence helped us through a difficult time We would also like to thank the kind nurses at River View and MAID that helped us keep mom comfortable in her last days.

We kindly ask Angie’s friends and family to take a moment to honor her memory by sharing photos, stories, and memories in the comments section of this page. Mom touched the lives of so many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Please share your special memories and reflections, as they will bring comfort and celebrate her life.

Angie , first met her when her rrlatives aunt n family lived next to us on Manitoba Ave. She later starting dating my friend. She was a firecracker. A brautiful person inside n out. We were connected by my friend, and the Manicotto family, and her Uncle Larry ,
but always was there whenever there family get-togethers. Attended several at her home in St. Vital. She was quite the party planner and all were welcome. Angie later was my stylist. We sure had great talks during my hair appointments.

To the Mandarano family, I am so sorry for your loss. She was one of a kind. A bright star shining down on us. Heaven has a very special angel. Your suffering is ended. R.I.P Angie.

I knew Angela back when she was getting move into the house on Jefferson Ave back in the early 70's . With only her mother & father with her in the new house . My back yard and their home was separated by just a short fence . We'd talk all summer long too, when she used to come outside and tan in the backyard . We got to know oneanother over her time there as she was taking a hair styling course down town here in Winnipeg.

Angela will be sadly missed , we became good friends and bless her dole a beautiful person . I sadly lost touch with her back as I ended up moving out of my parents place shortly after . She was so young and very beautiful. My condolences go out to her family & children . She will be sadly missed .

I so regret I cannot be here today with you all, to celebrate Angie.

Rather than talk about Angie, to you …  I’ve chosen instead to talk to Angie.

And I know she is here listening and touching all of us with her warmth and sensitivity.

*************************************************

Hello my Sweet Friend! I see you smile, right now with your big beautiful gracious heart.

Angie, you nestled into my heart from the first time we had coffee together at Chapters.

And you’ve never left.

You are one of those special earth angels who graced everyone you touched.

I want you to know, just how precious you are and have always been, not only to me but to everyone here today

And many who are not here.

I never saw you show anything to people other than kindness, graciousness, respect, generosity and honour.

I felt the deep love you had, and have for your girls. I felt the compassion coming from your

Heart for people, even those who caused you pain… even those you didn’t always understand.

I want you to know, that I saw and continue to see the courage and the light that you are.

It takes so much courage to live here on this dense and troubled planet. It’s not an easy path

And I don’t believe it necessarily should be. I have learned the easy path doesn’t always build strength

Or character. Lots of the time it weakens people.  It is a strength we earn from the challenges that brings us home safely to

The essence of who we really are.

I love you … the light that you are… the innocent and humble grandness that you are. Your future is so

Bright, Angie. I know this with all my heart and soul.

We will meet again somewhere along the line. And we will see in each others eyes that warm shining sparkle of

Recognition. So until that moment, just know… I will recognize you and we will smile,

And  then we’ll smile a whole lot more.

My sweet and creative friend, my life would have missed a very special colour had I not met you.

Until our next ‘coffee’ at another time and space…. Fly high … fly bold and fly beautiful.

Love always

Ora
