Steven Maracle

STEVEN DARRELL MARACLE
June 5, 1961 – June 20, 2025
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Steven Maracle on June 20, 2025 at the age of 64.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Tracy; his son Darrell; sisters, Annette Kerr (Darryl), Wanita Sault (Marty), Doreen Hill; brothers, Victor Hill and Rueben Maracle; uncles, Mark and Paul Maracle; aunt Ruth Maracle; brother-in-law Troy Belair; aunt Marilyn Fisher-Robinson; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is reunited with his mother, Muriel Maracle, and father, Harry Maracle; sister Audrey Maracle; brother Gordon Hill; and father and mother in law, Ron and Pam Belair.
Steven was born in Buffalo, New York and grew up in the Buffalo and Fort Erie Ontario area. He joined the US Navy at 18 and after his service he joined the Iron Workers Union working in the US. He moved to Vancouver Canada in the early 1990’s and worked alongside his future father-in-law, meeting his wife in 1992. Steve became a proud father with the birth of his son Darrell in 1995. In 1998 they moved to Fort Erie and Steve and Tracy married in 1999. They moved once more in 2003 to Winnipeg.
Steve was a kind soul, always there when you needed him. He loved a good party with family and friends, was outgoing and loved listening to all kinds of music, watching the Winnipeg Jets and the Buffalo Bills. He was an animal lover too and his cat Dante will miss him dearly.
Steve faced some medical issues later in life and the family would like to thank Dr. Ansarian, Dr. Cantor, Dr. Kidane and Dr. Bennington for the care they provided him.
As per Steve’s wishes there will be no formal service. Cremation has taken place.
Steve’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

My deepest condolences to Steve's wife, son and family. I have known Steve since I was a young girl as I was great friends with his sister Audrey. I've spent many a day on Lakeshore Rd in Fort Erie with the whole Maracle family. One memory that I will never forget was driving to the Rez.. Muriel was droving with Steven in the front and me and Audrey in the back. Windows open on a summer day with Lynard Skynard playing loud and proud. Great family. I'm very sorry for your loss. With love Christine Cameron
