I would like to thank Jeff Kendel for his support given to David during his life. You were always there for him.
We would like to thank the staff at the Concordia Hospital 3rd floor for the care given during his most difficult days.
David was born on December 13, 1964 to Robert and Nettie Marks, he was a funny, helpful and loving man.
David worked at Kendel Shell his entire life, he first pumped gas then went on to become a mechanic. He had a passion for cars and it showed in his knowledge and dedication to his profession. Known as Super Dave by many. We are left to the mercy of the unknown as to where and who to ask why my car is making this sound and acting this way or that. He always knew how to fix it.
David loved hockey and his knowledge was deep. He knew every statistic in the NHL, any player, any team, Montreal Canadians was his favourite team. He was also a Winnipeg Blue Bomber fan. His love of sponge hockey, played with his brothers, is something he held close to his heart. Fishing and playing x- Box Hockey and Tiger Woods golf his endless tournaments he had to win.
Kyra shared a special bond with Uncle Dave, he was her favourite Uncle, the jokester, the prankster, the fun uncle. He was also, loving, caring, kind hearted, generous and giving. He would call my house as the telemarketer or delivery man, even called just to find out what kind of noodles I liked. Will always remember him telling us about the flip phone from the future and his rapper name: two dimes and a nickel.
We may have lost our Super Dave but heaven has gained an Angel. She will, as we all will, cherish the memories you gave us.
At David's request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation in David's name with Cancer Care or organisation of your choice.
