Tim McArthur

TIMOTHY (TIM) MCARTHUR
March 17, 1956 – April 12, 2026
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Timothy Scott McArthur, March 17, 1956 - April 12, 2026.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 25 years Bernadette; children, Marlo (Debbi), Tyson (Cayley), Steven (Melissa), Jason, Reg, and Katelyn; grandchildren, Paige, Alex, Jase, Santana, Bryk, Ivry, Reinns, Starlynn, Emmett and Maxine; brother-in-law Ted Ferguson; brother Darcy (Jane); and sister Holly (Barrie) Troop; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Maxine; sister Shelly (Ferguson); and nephew Derek (Ferguson).
In his early years Tim loved to play hockey with the local Macdonald team and was a member of the Westbourne 4-H Beef club. He was an avid hunter and made lots of great memories with his hunting buddies. For more than half his life Tim was a farmer, and very proud of it. When he left farming he went to work for Professional Transport Driver Training School as General Manager for 20 years, a career he loved. After retirement he worked seasonally for Pallister Farms and enjoyed that very much. He’d say “once a farmer, always a farmer”.
His favorite places to be were Mazatlan, Mexico and Creekside Campground. We started going to Mazatlan 18 years ago and kept increasing our time there until we were there 6 months and Creekside 6 months. That was the perfect life for Tim. We made many good friends and had lots of adventures. He was a great husband and I was proud to be his wife.
As per Tim’s wishes there will be no funeral, but we ask that you please have a toast in honor of his life.
A special thank you goes out to Dr. Rebekah Rittberg, Dr. Bashir Bashir and their staff at Cancer Care Manitoba for the great care given to Tim. And thanks also to the Palliative Care staff at St. Boniface hospital.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Cancer Care Manitoba One Time Donations - CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
