SHARON “CHERYL” MCDONALD
June 13, 1958 – October 10, 2024
Sadly, after a tough, short battle with cancer, Cheryl passed away peacefully at Grace Hospice.
Cheryl was born in Arborg, Manitoba. She is survived by her only child Joe (Dana); grandchildren, Samantha, Ashley, and Cody; and sister Marie (Syd). She was predeceased by her parents; and her sister Judy.
Cheryl was the second youngest of three children. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and did so whenever she could. She had such a special bond with all three of them. Cheryl was a person you could always count on. She was very dedicated health care provider for 30+ years. Cheryl tried to retire once but decided retirement wasn’t for her yet, so she went back to work part time to do what she loved.
She will be truly missed by all of her family and friends.
We want to thank all the staff at Grace Hospice who helped with her care and the support they provided to Cheryl’s family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Cancer Care Manitoba.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm until 4:00pm on Friday, November 22nd at 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy Road (Unitarian Church).
Cheryl’s family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Cheryl, you were a gem I'll always cherish! You loved wholeheartedly, and those in your care, whether at work, or your family or circle of friends , all were richly blessed! Rest easy, girl! Til we meet again ..

If I had to use 3 words to describe Cheryl, it would be sweet, kind and funny. She raised her son to be just like her. My heartfelt condolences to Joe, Dana, Sam, Ashley and Cody.
