BRIAN EDWARD MCLENON

December 3, 1970 – June 18, 2022

Brian McLenon passed away on June 18, 2022 age of 51 at St. Boniface Hospital surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Christine; sons, Andrew and Nick; grandchildren, Keirah and Leon of Brandon, MB; sister Lynne Everson; brothers Ian and Mike from Ontario; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Brian worked as a labourer all of his life. One of the best places he worked was for Westfair Foods (Loblaws). He worked as a forklift operator. He gained many friends while working there and always has great stories to tell me.

Brian was a very social person who not only loved being around his family but also around his friends. If you were lucky enough to be considered his friend then you were also considered part of our family.

Brian loved his family. His mom was a big part of his life. He would visit his mom every day and make sure she had everything she needed. We would go to the beach or to the zoo.

He loved both his boys and had the opportunity to work with this son Andrew. One of the things he loved to do with them was to take golf clubs to the park and hit few balls around, sometimes hitting a few houses, oops. He loved golf and would often go with his brother Mike when he came to visit.

Brian loved his music. His favourite thing to do when a song came on the radio was to play “Name that Tune”. Sometime I would get it right but not always. His favourite bands were Ozzy, Metallica, ZZ Top, Tragically Hip, just to name a few but the one we loved to bug him about was Meat Loaf.

I’m not sure if anyone knows this but Brian had a big fascination with birds. He would be able to tell you everything you wanted to know about every kind of bird.

Another one of his favourite things in life was watching UFC. He loved the Mixed Martial Arts and often imitated the moved on his boys and friends. Every month when a new Pay Per View came on, he would invite a bunch of his friends over to come and watch the fights. It’s pretty much how I was able to meet most of his friends.

Brian was a very loving and compassionate person. If he saw that you were in need of anything, he would always make sure that you had it, from food to money or even a place to stay. Brian was always that person to call on for help.

The name is McLenon with a health dose of his Mom’s Hewson gene pool. Secondly, his much loved sister’s married name was Everson. But all of that is small potatoes. I’m sure he is remembered fondly, by many siblings as well as his wife and offspring family tree. A sad time. Glad that this notice was written, as a marker, that Brian , indeed passed this way. Rest In Peace Brian.
