My deepest sympathies to Digby’s family and to his sister Dorothy and her family. I remember times when he and Ron would come into the Fannystelle Hotel and stand and talk in the entry as they too early for the vendor and then turn around and leave still talking without buying. Digby may gone but he will never ever be forgotten! Digby was gentle and kind. He only focused on the positive and only had a good thing to say. He was humble to a fault, never wanting attention for himself. Digby showed genuine interest in how you were doing, how you were feeling, what was new in your day. The love he unconditionally showed to all of his family, the benchmark he set for being a beautiful human being is his legacy. Digby you are loved forever and always! ❤

I was fortunate to be able to share many long years of great memories with Dig. We started as friends on the ball diamond in Fannystelle. We spent a number of years as team mates in hockey were room mates for a time and remained friends until the end. He was a good man and a great friend who will be deeply missed. I feel as though I acquired Dad's best attributes besides his height and good looks .His patience and loyalty,  devotion to our people in life . Hard work and fiscal responsibility.  I am thankful that Dad  and Carol found each other,  she and her family took great care of him❤

My mother , Dorothy Winters, and I were sad to hear of Uncle Digby's passing. We appreciated the many visits we had with Digby out at his farm and in Winnipeg. He was a gentle giant and such a good son to his mother, Evelyn. We appreciate Carol so much for her energic caregiving as Uncle Digby struggled with his vision loss and Parkinsons. We appreciate Carol's sons and daughters, especially Judy and her husband Mike who were such faithful visitors.
