JUDITH MYRTLE MEISNER

(née WIESER)

June 25, 1947 - May 5, 2022

After a short battle with cancer, Judy Meisner (née Wieser), age 74, went to be with her Saviour in the early hours of May 5, 2022.

Judy was born on June 25, 1947 to Henry & Amelia Wieser and spent her formative years in Anola, MB. She married Ron Meisner on May 25, 1968. and they raised three children together in Winnipeg., MB. Judy was a committed stay-at-home mom for over 20 years and only went back to work after our father lost his job in 1996. She deeply loved her husband, children and grandchildren and enjoyed attending various events that her grandchildren were involved in.

Judy had a strong faith in Jesus and in her final days she felt peace knowing that soon, when she left this life, she would be in the presence of Jesus because

she trusted in His provision of forgiveness through his sacrificial death on the cross and His subsequent resurrection.

Judy has been reunited with her parents; her brother Gordon (Lydia); her in-laws; and with many other family members and friends.

Judy was able to remain at home until her passing due to the care of her family who all considered it a privilege and honour to do so. Judy will be remembered for her quiet but strong faith in Jesus, her contentment in life, her wacky sense of humour, and her love for her family and friends. We will miss her more than words can express but as a family we take great comfort in knowing that she is with Jesus and is rejoicing as never before and that one day we will see her again.

Judy is survived by her husband of almost 54 years, Ronald Meisner; daughter Michelle (Kevin), Brianna (Jamie), and Parker, daughter Marilea (James) John, Joe & Josh, her son Myles, sister Eleanore, brother Wally (Betsy), Nephew Jon (Megumi), niece Carmell (Brian) Selah, Micah, Avery and Hudson.

The Celebration of Life service will be held at Grant Memorial Church in Winnipeg on Saturday May 14, 2022 at 2 PM with a time of fellowship to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Inner City Youth Alive with envelopes available at the service.

What beautiful memories shared in these photos. Aunt Judy's laugh was so contagious, you couldn't help but have a smile on your face or be laughing along side her. Praying for you today,  as you celebrate her life, and in the months to come.

Judy Meisner will be greatly missed. My times spent with her go back many years, My wifes not so long, but they were delightful times. Judy always had a smile and a twinkle in her eye when you saw her. Her sense of humor was very much appreciated. She could hardly wait to tell us a joke or story whenever we met. Her love for the Savior was alway present. Judy was just a downright nice person. Our condolences to the entire family.
