MARK JOHN MILLER

July 22, 1959 - May 12, 2021

I am saddened to announce the sudden passing of Mark John Miller.

He will be greatly missed by his daughter Stephanie (Chris), grandchildren Sophie and Brody, Brother Martin (Tina), nephews Morgan, Wade and Derek (and family).

Mark loved to tinker with anything to get it running. He had a real knack for troubleshooting and wouldn’t stop until he got it fixed. He spent many happy years working on his projects at Miller’s Sheet Metal. He could be seen out at Eagle Lake in his boat fishing, waterskiing and enjoying nature. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Cremation has taken place and due to Coivd 19 there will be no service at this time Mark’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by watching the photo-biography above. Please also consider sharing your own photos, memories, and stories by making use of the comment section on this page.

😳My dearest Mark I cannot believe My big Brother left us all and I cannot understand why ...why you why now? you were always there as big brother should be, so no more Good Mornings when we talk at anytime of the day or night I am having a hard time grasping this knowing you have taken a big part of my heart with you, I will make sure that when I speak with anyone of you it will be the god's truth as to how you Really felt about about myself and your friends and family through thick or thin we were Brother and sister and shall always remain that way I love you and when I join you borscht and corned beef on rye will await you give mom and dad mikey a hug from your sister with love . 😮

👍 Mr. Mark Miller ‘Jack of All Trades, Master of None' as I drove him from one First Nations Reserve in Manitoba to another as he was ‘Called upon’ to fix/figure out their Water Treatment Plants, Re-wire homes on (others mistakes), Hook-up Electrical for Fishing Sheds on Lake Winnipeg – the list goes on and on, BUT, the road trips were NEVER Boring ( to say the least), reminiscing of past Childhood Pranks, Hockey, Dances even at Sinclair Park. One thing about Mark he didn’t (Hem-and-Haw) when you asked for his help with anything, he’d just ask, “When do want me there?’’. Mark certainly liked to argue (sometimes about really Stupid things), but, I’d just say, “Yeah, you’re right!”, we’d say together, “Life’s Too Short”, and have a few more “JARS”. It was fun Mark and I’ll miss ya, Rest in Peace Bro! William (Billy) Elliott (Friend) Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4

Stephanie and Family We remember well Miller's Sheet Metal on Main St. as true North Enders of a certain time period do.  It was an icon! We were very saddened to hear of your dad's sudden passing. Please accept our condolences. From the photo visual it seems the two of you had many happy times together in times past. Hopefully the memories of the good times are the ones you turn to for peace of mind. Sincerely, Margaret and Stan

My heart is broken, knowing that I won’t hear that laughing, happy voice on the other end of the phone, again, and me telling him to can the potty mouth and him apologizing. Mark, I miss you terribly, already. We were each other’s first love, spending 4 years together, and remaining lifelong friends. The memories of our unique adventures, will live on forever, from the tender moments, to the 3 separate occasions you tried to kill me, in various vehicles. Serves you right, that I put your truck into the ditch, in front of Grandma and Grandpa Kowerkos’ house.😏 Or the time you and Michael tried to defend my homestead, from a Karate expert, only to have my Mom come along and knock him out for you. I will always remember those Summer nights I spent with my ear glued to the window, trying to hear you come rumbling down my street in which ever vehicle you happened to be cruising in that day, or the endless evenings we girls spent sitting in the back lane behind 822 while you and all the guys crawled around underneath someone’s vehicle that was occupying your garage. Thank you for teaching me how to rebuild a carburetor. Too bad it was a skill that became extinct.🤷🏻‍♀️Dang technology. To say that you have always and will always, occupy a special place in my heart is an understatement. I will always love you Mark, and until we meet, again sleep well.❤️🙏 Martin, Tina, Stephanie, and the whole family, please accept sincerest condolences, love and prayers, from the entire Hilderman family who loved him so much.

Our our thoughts snd prayers are with Stephanie, Martin and families, from the Lang family.  Mom and Irene were dear friends.  Fond memories of the fun we had in catechism class, Mark was always doing something to antagonize whichever one of the Nuns who were running the class.  All in good fun! And lots of fond memories from Junior High through to High School! Mark always had a smile on his face! He was the kind of person you wanted to be around. Mark you are now with your brother Mike, Mom and Dad ✝️ RIP Mark, Louise Koswin and all the Lang family.

Mark was truly a bright light full of energy, laughter that was sincere, and most definitely loved to be a the shit disturber whenever possible as we all grew up in school together.  Couple this with prodding from all of his friends after a couple of beverages, and he was someone to be reckoned with.  Thoughts are with family on his leaving far too early.   Wendy Eppler

Deepest sympathies to the Miller family. My family were just recently reminiscing about the great times we had with entire Miller family. Whether it was hunting, fishing, or just visiting/telling stories around the dinner table. Mark was truly one of a kind , someone you were proud to call "friend'. We have such heavy hearts realizing its now too late to reach out and catch up with our buddy Mark. But we'll pour an extra whiskey tonight for our dear friend and try and concentrate on all the good times we had with him. Sending good thoughts and prayers to Martin, Stephanie, and the entire Miller family from the Kalma family. Derek , Dirk, and Rita Kalma

Haven’t seen Mark in many years, but we are forever bonded by your daughter Stephanie (my niece). Condolences to Martin and family as well as Stephanie. Video brings back so many good memories, from our kids laughing together with their funny masks at Xmas, to the old car that Mark drove us from the church on our wedding day. Such a kind hearted individual always helping out whether it was putting a clutch in my vette, or towing my old truck to my work place east of Beausejour in the middle the night, won’t get into detail but never saying a word other than giving me a hard time for finding me fast asleep on the railway station ticket counter. Rest In Peace Mark.

Mark was very kind and generous. Always there to help at any time. Very knowledgeable. Great friend. Robert and i have very fond memories of when we were all living and working at Donald Street . We spent many weekends at Millers Sheet Metal with Mark and Mikey. I used to take you Stephanie for ice cream across the street. Stephanie - your dad always talked about you and loved you very , very much. You were the apple of his eye. Our condolenses to all of Marks family . R.I.P. Mark had a heavy heart and that was only because it was filled with gold. He reached out  to anyone to lend a helping hand. If you were his friend he was there for you at ANY time to help with any issues or tow your vehicle. He would accept no money. In certain circumstances if you needed more help he would bring Martin and Michael. Mark would also be up to the challenge of talking about anything. He would not rest until a solution was found. We are saddened for his passing. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and those that loved him. His friends Cheryl and Len
