ROBERT “ROB” CHRISTOPHER MINSKI

July 23, 1967 – April 21, 2024

It is with profound sadness the family of Rob Minski announces his sudden passing on Sunday April 21, 2024.  Rob’s memory will always be cherished by the love of his life Tracy; and their children, Tanner (Hayley), Brady, Jaden, and Piper (Scott).  His mother Teresa; brother John (Kelly); sisters, Lorrie (Darren) and Loretta.  Also mourning his passing are brother in-laws, Bruce (Colleen), Tom (Brenda), and Dale (Bonny).  Rob will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Rob was predeceased by his father John Minski; and mother in-Law Ruth Neal.

Rob’s favourite thing to do was spending time with his family, whether to be a road trip somewhere, winter vacation to Florida or simply on the boat in the summer at the lake, he always had smile on his face.  Some of his other interests included, hunting, fishing, a cold Lab Lite and a good ole dad joke.  On occasion if the mood hit him right, he could be found tearing up a dance floor with the classic chainsaw dance move!  Rob also always took joy in any of the activities or sports the kids were interested in and would be there to support them.  He could often be found in a random gym cheering on Piper’s volleyball team, or cheering for whatever team was playing Tracy’s Jets not to mention the ever-unpopular Saskatchewan Rough Riders were always number 1 in his heart.

We couldn’t talk about Rob without mention of his lake life, every weekend he could be found at the lake, fixing something, helping a neighbour or having the biggest fire in the place.  The lake will not be the same without him and his “lake family” will never forget him, especially his Owen and Aubrey who loved him unconditionally and will miss their official fish holder.

Rob had a lasting impact on everyone that had the privilege of knowing him and he will never be forgotten.

The family would like to thank the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service and the St. Boniface Hospital for their efforts.

A celebration of Life will take place on Sunday May 26th, 2024, 12:30pm at the Access Center – West St. Paul Recreation Site, 48 Holland Rd, West St. Paul.

Rob’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by watching the photo-biography above. Please, also consider sharing your own photos, memories, and stories by making use of the comment section on this page.

We're so sorry to learn of Rob's passing. We never really got to know him that well, but we always got a friendly smile and a wave when he drove past us on Evenlea Walk, Our deepest sympathies to the family.

I had fantastic memories growing up with Rob next door at the lake.  If it was learning how to water-ski, driving a 3 wheeler in the back trails running over ant hills, or pushing each other off the dock. Regardless what shenanigans we did, it was always such an excitement to see him. Defenitly Rob was one of a kind and it was an honor to have known him.
