LUCILLE MOAR

February 15, 1937 – January 3, 2026

With great sadness Lucille passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026 with her family by her side.

She leaves behind her daughter Jennifer (Jeff); Grandsons, Braden (Kiandra), Kieran (Chantelle), Connor (Laila), Keith (Penny), and Nick; her three special nieces, Tracy (Greg), Chelsea (Arash), and Sunny; great grandchildren, Caleb, Micah, Willow, and Ruby; as well as her sister Jessie (Clifford).

Lucille was predeceased by her parents Louie and Sophie; husband Alex Moar; brothers Jim and Walter; sisters Louise and Flossie as well as her beloved and forever missed sons,  Kevin, Wally, Paul and Ken.

Lucille was a loving, generous mother and nanny(grandma) with a great sense of humour. She showed her love with her delicious cooking and baking and slipping her grandsons money wth a strict “Don’t Tell Your Mother”

She loved to spend her days gardening, knitting, crocheting and talking to family and friends on the phone. She enjoyed watching her favourite show Coronation St, true crime shows and classic black and white movies. Riding her exercise bike every day and blasting her favourite music.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff and Health Care Aides at both the Victoria Hospital and Charleswood Care Centre for their gentle care, kindness and compassion over the last few months.

In accordance with Lucille’s wishes cremation will take place and no formal service will be held.

You may be gone from our sight but you are never gone from our hearts.

I never got to meet you Aunt Lucille but boy oh boy did you and my mom like to talk on the phone, i always laughed if i answered moms phone and you always thought it was Louise, you had such a young sounding voice. May you rest in peace and say hi to my mom for me

I have fond memories growing up at the Moar's house! I looked forward to her amazing cooking from homemade pizza's to steak dinner's in the summer with garlic toast and Caesar salad in the back yard. I loved her sarcasm and quick comebacks to my cheeky comments! Lucille you showed me love, care and correction as a teen and I will remember you fondly with a smile! XO Juanita 🌻
