ROBERT WILLIAM MOLE

July 7, 1969 - August 29, 2025

We are profoundly sad to announce the passing Robert William Mole, after a quick but courageous battle with cancer, on August 29th, 2025.

He is survived by his wife Suzanne; Tanner and Cassidy; mother Rosalind; and brother Rick (Sarah, Brayden); in-laws, Crystal (Kevin, Rhiana, Sierra), Douglas (Tanya, Chloe), and mother-in-law Barbara; as well as many friends, colleagues and pets. He is predeceased by his father Roderick; and father-in-law Donald.

He was born on July 7th, 1969, in Victoria BC. Rob was a part of a military family and spent time in many different Canadian provinces growing up, including British Columbia, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Manitoba. Rob graduated high school in Oromocto, New Brunswick, before moving to Winnipeg, where he spent the rest of life. Throughout his childhood, sports were a constant in Rob’s life, participating in hockey and his favourite sport – golf, where he played throughout his life, participating in tournaments, playing and winning long-drive competitions and passing along his love of sports to his kids.

It was in Winnipeg where he met his wife Suzanne in 1991, and then in the summer of 1995, they married and soon welcomed two kids, Cassidy in 1997, and Tanner in 1999. Family was the most important part of Rob’s life, and was a constant supporting figure in all things his kids and wife did. There were very few events, games, practices or outings that Rob didn’t attend, he lived for his family, and they always felt the unwavering support. Even though he was allergic to both cats and dogs, the house was always full of animals and the love they gave to him was always reciprocated, and the dogs especially will be some of the creatures that miss him the most.

Rob will be remembered for his kindness, quick-wit, and calm demeanour. While he could be known as a quiet guy, those that knew him best appreciated conversations, his support and his love for his family. He was a kind and caring man who was loved by many and will be missed by all.

The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank-you and appreciation to all the caregivers, nurses, and doctors that helped Rob through this difficult time and disease at the Health Sciences Center, Cancer Care and many other medical practices. We also would like to thank all the family members, friends, neighbours, and colleagues that support the family, and Rob with food, visits, and messages of support during this time. You all made this time easier.

A celebration of Rob’s life will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4 at Sir John Franklin Community Club. We will welcome all to celebrate and remember Rob.

Rob’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Grew up with Rob & Rick in Oromocto and the road hockey games we played are something I'll never forget. Robs stick work was unbelieveable, he was a good hockey player and athlete. Base brats always stick together and I'm sad to learn of his passing, but I'm happy to learn he leaves behind his legacy.

Our sincere condolences to his families on the passing of Robby. We have been friends with roziland and family for many years. In Victoria rob ricky and my daughters spent many morning playing together. Robby had his big wheel bike and they had a great time!

we were together again in Victoria when they were ages between 9 - 10 then together again in gagetown N.B. as teenagers. Robby was always a fun loving boy.

May the memories of the laughter and love you shared bring you peace now and always

we will miss you dearly. Robby

I didn't really know Rob all that well, but when I first met him, I instantly liked him! He had such a quick wit & dry sense of humor! I have lots of fond memories of us watching the Bomber games in our basement & yelling at the TV! LOL My heart is breaking for you, Cassidy & Tanner! 💔 He will missed so much by everyone who knew him.. Sending love, light & BIG hugs. ❤️💫🤗

We are so very sorry to hear of Robbie's passing. We have known him since he was two years old and he played with our sons, we are all a big military family. We were posted to different places but it always seemed our paths crossed again and that was the case in Winnipeg. Rest in peace Robbie, we will always remember you .

Rob Mole was a calm, steady empathetic family man, who was a pleasure to do business with. His dry sense of humor and wit were razor sharp .........and you never had to ask Rob to read between the lines...he got it right away . Very sorry to hear of his Passing

Suzanne, we still can't believe this horrible news and we're so very sorry for you, and Tanner and Cassidy's loss.

I met Rob back in the early 90's at McDiarmid Lumber. We quickly became good friends and enjoyed each other's company whenever we found ourselves working the same shift. We shared a lot of laughs on some of those slow evenings and enjoyed going for an occasional beer across the street at the Grant. We also had a lot of fun the few summers where we organized a company softball team. I know he had a great shot in hockey and he could sure hit the homerun ball as well!

I still remember too, the fun weekend that was had out in Neepawa for your wedding.

Rob was an all around great guy and will be sorely missed. Our deepest sympathies to you and your family.

I would like to offer my deepest condolences to Rob’s entire family, friends, and colleagues. Rob was truly one of a kind. From the very beginning, I loved working with him—he was always incredibly responsive and attentive to every request.

In his final days, when he could no longer speak, I would say to him, “Don’t talk, let me speak to you, and you can write me your reply.” I was deeply moved by what happened to him.

Rob, I will always cherish the memories of you and the conversations we shared. You will surely be missed by all your colleagues, near and far.

May God bless your soul.

Rob was an easy man to like. A co-worker, always level heaed, reliable and helpful. I enjoyed taking to him about golf and venting about how terribly I play.

Surely there is a hole in one in wating for you. From my family to yours, wishing you the happiest of memories to help at this difficult time.

I met Rob seven years ago when he joined us at Polynt Composites. He was immediately part of our team and became one of the group. I was saddened to hear of his illness and shocked learning of how quickly his life was taken from him. A fantastic human being. He will be missed by all he touched. Please accept my condolences.

Sincerely,

My heart breaks for you and your family.

I feel like I knew Rob better than I actually did just from the stories you would share with me Suzanne.

And in knowing your children Tanner and Cassidy I knew from the moment I met them that their Dad was someone special.
