SHARON MARIE MORGAN

(née Fernie)

March 11, 1956 – January 2, 2025

With profound sadness we announce the passing of our dear sister Sharon. She was one of the “Fernie Five” and we grew up together in a warm and loving home.

Sharon loved the lake. Everything about it, the water, the boat, the sunsets and the peace. She cherished times at the lake with her family and enjoyed special moments with her two sons and their cousins, teaching and watching them master swimming, water skiing, maneuvering boats and sea-doos with confidence.

Her yard was always beautiful with flowers, gorgeous colours and design. Her style inside and outside her home was immaculate. Sharon was a wonderful cook. If you were lucky enough to be invited for roast beef, roast chicken or Fusilli alla Vodka you would have enjoyed great food, good company and stimulating conversation. Sharon was the favourite and fun Auntie to all of her nieces and nephews and they fondly recall her running around trying to catch the teenagers for a kiss, bouncing babies with both giggling madly and serving the best breakfasts at the cottage. Sharon was joyful and brought sunshine to all spaces. She will be missed beyond measure.

Sharon was a successful business owner for 40 years along with her husband, Sam. She was dedicated to her family and friends and showed extraordinary strength and compassion at all times. Sharon loved those she cared for unconditionally. Her generosity was boundless and she was selfless in all things.

Sharon was predeceased by her husband, Sam; and her parents, Bob and Eileen. She is survived by her sons, Jesse (Kayla) and Sean (Lori); and her five beloved grandchildren, Zack, Alexandra, Neveah, Jayden and Nicholas; her sisters Lynn (Terry), Alison (Ian), Susan (Wayne); her brother Rob (Velvet); her partner Mike; her best friends, Syd and Lovie; several nieces and nephews, Andrea, Steven, Lauren, Erin, Darren, Braden, Emma and Alexandra’s mom, Maria.

We are grateful for the kind and compassionate care of the Palliative Care staff at St. Boniface Hospital who made Sharon’s last days peaceful and comfortable.

A private family interment will take place in the Spring.

Sharon’s family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.
