June 1, 1983 - June 17, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce that Oscar Moz, a beloved father, brother, and son, passed away on June 17, 2025. Born on June 1, 1983, in El Salvador, to Estela Orellana and Orlando Moz, Oscar grew up with his sisters Sandra and Urania, and brother Aldo. At 17, he moved to Canada to start a new life.
Oscar was a devoted father to his children, Adrian, Liliana, and Maya Moz; a cherished brother to Sandra, Urania, and Aldo; and a loving uncle to nieces Alison, April, and Amy, and nephews Daniel and Alexander. He will be deeply missed by his parents, Estela and Orlando.
Oscar loved spending time with his children and friends. Known for his great sense of humor, he enjoyed making people laugh. He often checked on those who needed a word of encouragement, leaving a lasting impact with his joyful spirit and kindness. Oscar was passionate about handyman work, where he made many lasting friendships. Oscar was an avid soccer player and loved fishing.
He will be missed by all.
A Celebration of Oscar’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 603 Wellington Crescent (Universalist Church).
Oscar’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

¡Mi querido amigo Oscar! Te voy a extrañar profundamente, hermano. Gracias a ti, descubrí el amor por el fútbol; siempre mostraste una generosidad admirable al compartir lo que tenías, especialmente tu tiempo y tu amistad. Tu pasión por la música blues y el apoyo que me brindaste en mis propios esfuerzos musicales son recuerdos que atesoraré por siempre en mi corazón. Realmente, eras la encarnación de lo que significa ser un amigo: siempre estabas presente, sin importar el lugar o el momento. Disfrutamos tanto juntos, desde nuestra juventud hasta la adultez, creando memorias que perdurarán. Tu amor por tus hijos y tus padres era evidente y verdaderamente inspirador; diste todo por ellos, y eso merece un gran reconocimiento.
