DIEUWERTJE MUNS

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother and oma, Dieuwertje (Dini) on April 28, 2026 in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 96. She will be remembered with love and deeply missed, as she left a lasting impression of kindness on all who knew her.

She is survived by her children Ben Jr., Rudy (Pat), Belia (Mike), Dini and is pre-deceased by her son Ron (Donna) and her husband Ben Sr. She also leaves behind many grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Dini and Ben Sr. came to Canada with three young sons from the Netherlands with a dream of making Canada their home. After arriving in Winnipeg, they went on to have two daughters. Later on, Dini and her husband retired in St. Laurent, Manitoba to enjoy the cottage life. Some of her faviourite past times were riding her bike to the beach and gardening. She always enjoyed spending quality time with her family at the lake and speaking with her siblings back in the Netherlands.

We would like to sincerely thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre for the excellent care and compassion in her final months.

We will be forever grateful for the love she gave us during her lifetime. We will miss her dearly.

A private, family celebration of life will take place at a later date.
