Martha grew up in Florencia, Colombia, where she graduated from high school at Colegio los Sagrados Corazones and then pursued her career, graduating from the University of Amazon as an accountant. She then continued her education to complete 2 masters in public accounting at Libre University.

She moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada in 2002. She met the love of her life in 2008 and moved to La Salle, Manitoba, Canada, in 2009.

Martha will always be remembered for her infectious smile, upbeat personality, her persistence, and drive. She had a love for rock & roll as well as Son Cubano and Salsa music. Martha accomplished anything she put her mind to. In 2016, she completed her Bachelor of Business and Administration at the University of Winnipeg.

Martha was always affectionate with her Shihtzu, Ruffin over the years. Her passions included gardening, travelling, studying, and praying. She took pride in the home her and Bill created together and their many adventures while always keeping close contact with her family in Colombia.

Martica, una gran amiga y persona. Ejemplo a seguir.

When I think of Martha I think of how brave she was. She came to Canada and she had to learn the language and tolerate our cold climate. It was so hard for her living in Winnipeg with a little girl, but she took the bus and walked a lot, going to Red River College and learning the English language and getting a job to support herself. All the time she worried about her family in Colombia.  Thank goodness Bill Hall came into her life. Marilyn and Dennis
