ELAINE JOYCE NAGY

Sadly, we announce the passing away of Elaine on August 12, 2023 at home at the age of 71.

She is survived by her brother Terry as well as several cousins.  Elaine was predeceased by her husband Sandor (Sandy), son Sean, and parents, Wilfred & Pauline Krawchuk.

Elaine was the younger of two children and grew up in the north end of Winnipeg.  After graduating from high school, Elaine chose nursing as a profession. She graduated from the Misericordia General Hospital School of Nursing.  During her career that spanned over 40 years, she worked at the Misericordia, Health Sciences Centre and St; Boniface Hospital.  Elaine retired in 2019.

Elaine met Sandy in the early 1970s and they were married on September 7th, 1974 at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church.  Son Sean was born on November 3rd, 1978. She enjoyed trying out the many recipes in her vast collection.

In Accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
