BRUCE NAIRN

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce Nairn on December 10, 2025, surrounded by love.

He is survived by his daughters, Georgette (Asif) and Crystal (Blair); his son Dustin; and his four grandchildren, whom he loved dearly: Eric, Lucy, Aiden, and Ayla. Bruce will also be deeply missed by his two sisters, Elaine and Loreen. He now joins his parents, Joe and Sylvia; and his son Sean in the next part of his journey.

Bruce loved reading books, writing, experimenting with new dishes in the kitchen, spending time outdoors, and travelling. But most of all, Bruce cherished the people (and pets) who were important to him. He loved his children fiercely and supported them in every way he could. He found joy in spending time with his grandchildren—reading to them, taking them to activities, celebrating their successes, and watching them grow.

The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre for their compassionate care of Bruce during his time there.

For those who would like to honour his memory, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society, Riverview Health Centre Foundation, or the Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude for the love, support, and kindness shown during this difficult time. Bruce’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Cremation has taken place, and a warm and cozy celebration of Bruce’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19th, at 603 Wellington Crescent. Please join us to share stories, laughter, and memories of a life well-lived.
