LESLIE SUSAN NECHWEDIUK

(née Gregory)

November 3, 1954 - March 23, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie Susan Nechwediuk.

Leslie was a wonderful sister, mother, and grandmother.  She leaves to remember her positive outlook and giving personality, her children, Tina, David, and Matthew along with Tina's husband Dallas and her grandchildren Alicia and Dylan.  She will be also missed by her siblings, Frank (Claudette), Ken (Nicole), Rob (Linda), Tom, Lucille, and Anthony (Anila); many nieces and nephews, Pam, Kate, Vaughn, Paige, Jessica, Gregory, Samantha, Corey, Candice, Patrick, Christopher, Jason, Magen, and Scott. She will be forever missed by her furry friends Nelly, Baby, and Buddy and by her friends in the co-op, Diane, Bob and Laura and her children Aniyah and Mikayla and everyone with whom she enjoyed sitting in their yard and watching the deer come up from the river.  She took great pleasure watching them. Leslie was predeceased by her mom Suzanne; dad Tom; and sister Susan.

Leslie was always willing to help anyone who needed it.  She never turned anyone away.  She felt her best being a mom to everyone.  She always had kind and encouraging words too.

Leslie retired from the post office after 30 plus years.  Her kids enjoyed her retirement and she spent as much time as possible with them. Her eyes always twinkled when she talked about her grandchildren.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Schaefer and the nursing staff in the ICMS at the St. Boniface General Hospital for their compassion and care.

Leslie was a wonderful lady. She had a great big smile and  a wonderful laugh. I worked with her at Canada Post, where she was a motivated and dependable employee. I was especially happy to renew our friendship when I moved into the co-op. Her delightful personality will be greatly missed here

Tina, David, Matthew and family. Gary and I are heartbroken to hear of Leslie's passing. We were co workers, but also friends. We can remember getting together at your home in Norwood for dinners. Leslie was a great cook, a wonderful person, an excellent worker and she will be missed by many. Take care and remember all the good times. Love Gary & Brenda Colyer

Leslie you were truly a Gem! You were so witty and always knew how to make people smile. So many stories that I cannot account for on here. But know you will always have a special place in our hearts and every time I see a dime on the ground I will think of you. I can’t wait for you to see the pansies we are planting for you this year. Aniyah picked them out herself, cause she knew you loved them and how you would spend hours outside and she would pick each one out for you😊❤️. Love you forever, never forgotten!❤
