REBECCA SYDNEY NEITZKE
March 5, 1999 – May 19, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Rebecca Neitzke announce her passing at Winnipeg, MB on the 19th of May, 2025 at the age of 26.
Rebecca will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Alistair and Theodore; her parents, Rhonda and David; her sister Rhiannon; and her brother Tyler; as well as many others.
Rebecca’s kind and thoughtful presence will be missed by those who knew her. Born in Winnipeg March 5, 1999 Rebecca grew up close to her siblings Rhiannon and Tyler. Rebecca also enjoyed being a part of the large extended family that resided at Winnipeg and seldom missed gatherings of the clan, especially the family Christmas dinner and Father’s Day barbecue. From even before her son Alistair was born Rebecca dedicated herself to being a mom and worked hard to ensure his flourishing along with Theodore’s after his arrival. Rebecca loved animals and was often taking the boys to places to interact with all kinds of creatures. She loved wild spaces and getting out into nature and sought to introduce her sons to all the beauty of the natural world. Her loss is deeply felt.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 8th, 2025, at the Salvation Army’s Heritage Park Temple Corps at 825 School Road. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society.
Rebecca’s family kindly requests that all of her friends and family take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos, memories and stories using the comment section on this page.

Rebecca was a close childhood friend of mine when she lived in BC. We went to the same elementary school and became fast friends. I still remember how sad I was when she moved away. We fell out of touch as kids, but I am always thankful to have had such a good friend. I am so sorry to hear of her passing and am sending all my love to her family.

I had the wonderful pleasure of knowing Rebecca and caring for her boys in my daycare. She was a great mom, the boys were clearly her life and she was theirs. My heart hurts for her family and friends, she will be missed so much.

It is difficult to believe we won't see Rebecca at the family events anymore. She was a wonderful mom and always found things to do with the boys, taking them on outings and just being there with them. When you saw Rebecca the boys were right there with her. They were her world and she did everything for them and encouraged them in their own little personalities. She was beautiful inside and out and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

I wanted to share that Becca and us shared a deep love of her father, our friend, Dave. I have hopefully successfully attached pictures of messages she sent me to ask for a video to play at her dad's 50th bday. I know Dave has of course seen the video, but I wanted to share the kind and incredible effort Becca put into to making her dad feel special while also caring for her 2 little boys during the party planning and the party itself. I admired her so much for being such an attentive and caring mother and such a thoughtful daughter. RIP Becca
