JAMES (JIMMY) NEMETH

October 15, 1962 – May 21, 2025

It is with great sadness that the family has to announce the unexpecting passing of James Nemeth on May 21st, 2025 at the age of 62. James was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on October 15th, 1962.

The deep impact James made was positive and far reaching. Whether it was taking control of kitchens as a Chef at a number of high-end restaurants or walking alongside a friend through some dark times. He was always there for anyone who needed him. He spent a number of years in the Caregiver role for his parents.

In the most recent years he volunteered with a number of organizations. It was these volunteer experiences that were the highlights of his days that he would share with us.

To know James is to know he was hard working, kind, inclusive, an advocate and a total jokester. Some of the other hats James still wears are Son, Brother, Uncle, Godfather and Friend.

Jimmy, you will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 545 Broadway.

James’ family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

James was always good for a laugh and to lend an ear when you needed it which it was uncanny how he would suddenly show up when I needed that. I will miss you my amigo
