HILDA MAE NEUFELD

May 24, 1947 – July 22, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce that Hilda was called home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 22, 2025, at the age of 78. She was predeceased by her parents, Jake and Kay Franz.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years Elmer; daughters, Deborah (Chuck) and Sandra (Dan); grandsons, Tyler and Tanner (Sandra and Dan) and Lucas (Deborah and Chuck); brother Stan (Helen); two aunts and numerous brothers/sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Hilda grew up in Altona, Manitoba. At 17 she met her love, Elmer, on a blind date and after a whirlwind romance, they wed August 1965. She dedicated her life to Christ, her husband, two daughters, then her sons-in-law, and three grandsons. She was loved by all who met her, and she ALWAYS had a hug and a contagious smile for everyone she met. We love her and will miss her.

She enjoyed working with the church girls’ clubs and participating in Bible Study groups. She was always ready to lend an ear and pray for anyone in need.

Thank you to all the nurses and doctors who took care of her at St. Boniface Hospital.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Calvary Temple Buntain Chapel, 400 Hargrave Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba

We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:8

Hilda’s family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Hilda was a wonderful sister-in-law. Beautiful inside and out, caring and loving to her husband Elmer and her daughters and son-in-laws and her grand children. She was always willing to help when you needed, I remember when our furnice stopped working, her and Elmer gave us a place to stay, which I don't think we said thank you enough but we were very thankful. May God take care of you now. We are sending hugs and kisses to Heaven to you.

Hilda was one of the most beautiful kind souls it would ever be your privilege to meet. I was fortunate enough to live across the street from Elmer and Hilda almost all my growing up years. Hilda was an Angel on Earth. who welcomed and worried about everyone she Knew and even those she didn't like victims of our Wildfires. She had a way to make you feel so loved and cared for. I loved sitting in her kitchen spending hours chatting with her. .Hilda always found the sunshine in people and let them know they were special. Both Hilda and Elmer are the kindest most generous helpful people who have lived reveryday of their lives with the Grace of God and dedicated to following his commandments. No one can ever replace her but she is safe at home with our Lord God Bless each and everyone of you.
