CYNTHIA "CINDY" DIANE OTTO
March 6, 1960 - January 5, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved caring wife, mother, sister and friend, Cynthia "Cindy" Diane Otto. She left this world peacfully on January 5, 2024 at age 63
Cindy is survived by her 4 brothers, Joe, Darryl, Jamie and Jeff and her 4 sisters Mary, June, Anne, Patty and their families. As well as her Husband Trevor. Her children who are her entire world, her one son Kristopher and wife Emma. And her one daughter Lisa. As Well her Fur Grandbabies Cindel and Storm. And many more family and friends.
Mom was born on March 6, 1960 in Winnipeg at St Boniface Hospital and she was raised by her grandmother in Winnipeg Beach where she met her life long best friend Beata. She spent countless hours over at Beata's house for dinners and even would help do the dishes that she despised doing just so they could go outside and play sooner. She loved the outdoors and being with her friends on the boardwalk or the pier at Winnipeg Beach.
Mom moved back to Winnipeg and found her forever job working at Safeway warehouse in 1987. She was very dedicated to her job and that didnt make her very popular at first but once you got to know her you loved her just like the rest. She always just wanted to make sure the people she trainned knew how to do the job with confidence and her dear Friend Kathy said "the first time i met cindy i told her i thought she was the b word but i grew to know she was just making sure i was as good as her at the job and that i loved her very much". they laughed it off and were best of friends ever since. Mom made so many friends at safeway and met her husband trevor.
Mom had a heart of gold and the strength of diamonds. She was always kind, caring, generous and full of love. She was a thoughtful woman who had the wisdom beyond her years. Mom loved her two Kids more than anything in this world and treasured every moment she had with them, her family and friends. She always made time to sit and listen, support, encourage and give you her undivided attention.
Mom was Diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer on October 19, 2020. She was optimistic that she would beat this cancer and fight to stay with her family. She was the strongest person you could meet and was such a fighter. She went through multiple rounds of Chemo and Radiation throughout the years of her battle and was never one to complain or let it beat her. She made sure to make it through Christmas as she loved that time of the year and mostly just watching her Children open the stockings and gifts and seeing the smiles of joy and the sounds of laughter of her loved ones.
We are blessed and grateful to have had so many years with Mom in our lives. Mom would love for all her family and friends to take a moment and share photos and stories to keep her memories living in our thoughts and hearts forever.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date and time.
