THOMAS PAISLEY

June 19, 1955 – January 6, 2022

Tom is home

On January 6, 2022, Tom was released from the pain of Pulmonary Fibrosis and resides with His God, the one he prayed to, and sometimes fought with, every morning of his life.

He was known as Tom, Honey, Bumpa, and Papa and too many more to mention.

He is interred in the hearts of his wife of 36 years, Lorna; children, Freya, Tim, Josh (Tracy), and Kevin (Lovely); grandchildren, Xar, Shepard, Ty, JM, Jessica, and Jasper; siblings. Barb, Norm (Lara), and Brian (Debra).

Tom lived a life of sobriety in AA where he mentored many; offering lodging, a shoulder to lean on, and being the one to answer those middle of the night calls no one else would.

He had broad shoulders-he was strong. His hugs all encompassing, his heart beating through his work shirt onto those whom they encircled, his smile providing all the light we periodically needed in a sometimes dark world.

Because of COVID restrictions we as a family have decided to hold Tom's Celebration of Life in the Spring. There are far too many people and we know Tom's wish would be to have all who wanted to celebrate, bringing us all together as He always did. This beautiful video is a work of luv from his daughter Tracy.

❤What a loving beautiful tribute to Tom from those who loved him. Thank you ! Tom had the best smile and laugh, and he loved to just sit and talk.  I personally met Tom in late 1984 or early 1985 … we became instant friends. There was Dorothy, Veronica, Arnie, and all those folks at 550 St Annes rd in that white building down those 12 steps to the basement. If those walls could talk from back then.  I’m so grateful to Lorna for reaching out to me this last year because,  as we all know … life and whatever takes us on our own paths. Tom and I got to rekindle our friendship and catch up over some coffees in the “garage” It was like we had not missed a beat.  Friendship is priceless and I’ll stay inspired as I remember the love and kindness of one “Tom Paisley.” Thank you for always being my friend.

Being around papa just had a calming effect    sitting in the garage with a cup of coffee or outside in the backyard.....or anywhere for that matter.   He had love and kindness and help to offer no matter what was taking place.  Will sure miss our Wednesday timbit rituals.   Ill miss our home depot runs laughing our asses off with my indecisiveness.  That is just a few of the many things Ill miss   Rip Tom ❤

Delores Day

I loved the video created, beautiful memories and Tom with a smile. I met Tom in the early 80’s and we became and remained friends for many years. Even though years would pass in between, Tom always had a big smile, a big hello and a big hug. Tom taught me the importance of changing the oil in my car “more than once a year! Delores!” Tom had a kind heart and he was a kind soul, and he will always be remembered by many. Love to Lorna and Rest In Peace.
