ADIGONI PARASIDIS

June 14, 1934 - May 11, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother.

Predeceased by her husband Grigorios Parasidis, her parents, brothers and sisters. Left to mourn are her daughter Athina Parasidis (Kosta); son Bill Parasidis (Karen); Grandchildren, Katerina Frederiksen (Anders), Antigoni  Pantzaris (Ian), and George Pantzaris; and many nieces and nephews.

Adigoni met and married her husband in 1963. One month later their adventure began as they left Greece for Germany. They spent 8 years working and thriving in the expanding industry of Western Germany.

In 1971 an opportunity arose for the family to immigrate to Canada. Once again, the young couple leave behind friends and family for a new home and the opportunity that Canada offered to everyone.

It didn’t take long for them to get established and start up their first restaurant. Mom was a well rounded and diverse woman; nothing was a challenge for her. She took every opportunity available to her to learn and improve herself.

You will be missed.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Avenue.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers for donations to be made to Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.

We first met this lovely lady and her husband when they opened the two beach restaurants in Birds Hill Park, My husband was superintendant then. The were vey friendly and hard working . Later we enjoyed many a great meal at the Nook. We know they will be sadly missed by their family.
