WILLIAM "BILL" DOUGLAS PATERSON

February 28, 1963 – June 11, 2025

Suddenly on June 11, 2025, at age 62, William Douglas Paterson passed away at Grace Hospital.

He is survived by his sisters, Lucinda Paterson and Susan Gareau (Garth); nephew Mathew Paterson (Kaylah); niece Brianne Paterson; and his girlfriend Janice (Jani) Hample.

He was predeceased by his parents, George and Edna Paterson; and his sister Kelley Paterson.

Bill worked as a shipper/receiver for various companies until his health declined.

The Bombers were a huge passion for Bill and he enjoyed season tickets for a number of years. He had a great love of rock music. An enjoyment of his would be to put on his headphones and drum away.

Weightlifting was a lifetime hobby for Bill. He also played hockey, excelled at taekwondo, bowling, and completed the very first Manitoba Marathon.

Although Bill suffered through several health issues over the years, he never complained. He was a very strong person!

Bill found love in his later years with Jani Hample. Thank you, Jani, for enriching his last couple years!

We ask that any donations are made to the Kidney Foundation.

Bill’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Building up endurance to run that 1st ever Manitoba Marathon.

Iconic knowledge and love of rock and roll.

Loud drumming coming from the home on Moncton.

Long Lake, many a May and September long weekend fishing.
