COLIN NATHAN PATTERSON

July 15, 1987 – August 27, 2023

Colin Nathan Patterson passed away on August 27 2023 surrounded by family at the age of 36. Colin was a kind, funny and loving son, brother and friend, and he will be missed by many. After a long struggle with his health, it brings his family peace that he passed doing what he loved – going fast, and on his own terms.

He is survived by his mom Candace Patterson (Neil Strachan); dad Clarence Frankow; sister Cristy Patterson; brother Chase Frankow; step parents, Tracy Fifield and Brett Enns; his maternal grandmother Beryl Breed; his paternal grandparents Lenard and Loretta Frankow; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his grandfather Harry Breed and best friends Justin Conroy and Bobby Little. Celebration of Life to be announced.

Special Thank You to the SICU Care Team at Health Sciences Centre for the very attentive care towards the end of his life, and the Dialysis Care Team at Seven Oaks Hospital for looking after him over the last 6 years.

Colin will be remembered most for his quick wit, his laugh and his smile by so many. We love you Colin.

Col, how I hate to be writing this I’m so going to miss your laugh, smart ass comments, quick wit and humour. This breaks my heart but knowing you, this is the way you would want to go. I’m glad your disease wasn’t the way. I love you so much kiddo. I am so blessed to have been a part of your life. Rest easy now, my boy. You will always be in my heart 💜

Candice I am so sorry for the loss of Colin.  Mothers should never have to bury their children.  I can't imagine your pain.  I know how much you love your children it is FIERCE.  Hopping that you and Christy are able to find peace and embrace the memory of Colin.❤

Colin always sent it to the limit. Always building cars making things faster or better. He was a member of the DIRTYWERKZ car club and always will be. Myself and my club will never forget Colin as we grew up with him and rolled together as a crew. Let it be known we will burn the tires off are cars so he can see the smoke from heaven. Cheers buddy.  - Ryan smith.
