It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Ryan Christopher Paulsen on March 18, 2023.

Ryan was pre-deceased by grandparents, Gordon and Sharon Paulsen, and Walter and Dolores Korell.

He will be forever missed by his Dad, Michael Paulsen; Mom Cindy Korell and James Block (Danielle); girlfriend Crystal Baptiste and her sons, Christopher and Alexander. Also, will be greatly missed by his Papa Gordon’s long time loving partner Doris Leclair; Uncle Rob and Aunty Cindy Paulsen. Aunty Babe and Uncle Skinny Matheson, Cody, Diane (Hayes), Kacey and Colin. Uncle Guy and Aunty Cindy Korell, Brady and Brittni (Kash and Nyla) Brittany and Dylan (Andi and Theo) Kelsey and Jayson, Aunty Tracy and Uncle Dale Gevoga, Jason and Kristine, Justin and Kelsey, Uncle Darcy and Aunty Nicki Korell, Meagan and Ryan (Logan and Carter), Sheldon, Aunty Tammy and Uncle Grant Bradshaw, Corey, Taylor.

Ryan was born November 13, 1991. He attended St. Joseph The Worker, John W. Gunn and graduated from Transcona Collegiate. He loved all sports from hockey, snowboarding, fishing, camping, skate boarding, dirt biking, and swimming at Aunty Babe’s.

Ryan’s relationship with his Dad had grown stronger, spending more time together and always being there for each other. Ryan truly loved his Dad.

As a child Ryan spent many years out at Morden Meadows campground, where he was able to do all the outdoor activities he loved.

Ryan spent time in Gimli, Manitoba with his cousins Jason and Justin whom he adored. He grew up in a very close loving family always spending time with his aunties, uncles, and many cousins throughout his life.

Ryan and Crystal met at an important time in their lives. He loved Crystal and her boys, and they were always doing things together and as a family. Christopher, Alex, and Ryan had a mutual respect for each other.

Ryan and James have become great friends and he appreciated James for all he has done for him. They enjoyed spending time together doing autobody and working on many classic cars, two of which have recently won awards at the World of Wheels.

Ryan had just accepted a position with Falcon Equipment in the parts and service area, with the intent to obtain his red seal as a Heavy-duty Mechanic.

We will miss Ryan’s great big smile and kind heartiness.

I’ll love you forever,

I’ll like you for always,

as long as I’m living,

my baby you’ll be.

A celebration of Ryan’s life will be held at 1-3:30pm on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the Holy Eucharist Parish Centre; 460 Munroe Avenue.

I am so saddened by your loss. I had the opportunity to meet Ryan at our family Christmas dinner and it was great to see how happy Ryan and Crystal were together. I hope the memories of those happy times will help his family and friends to cope with their loss.❤

Sending my love and condolences to the family. I am still in disbelief that he is gone. Ryan was one of 5 friends I had when I transferred to TCI. Even though we didn’t speak as much after high school he still checked up on me from time to time. Rest easy my friend, in our hearts you’ll always be 🙏🏾🕊️

Ryan was the love of my life and had so many long term goals together. He was a once in a lifetime kind of man and was blessed to call him mine. He's definitely one of a kind and was my perfect man. Anyone who knew him loved him, he was the best man I've ever know. My oldest son said he looked at Ryan as a father figured, he made a huge impact in our lives ❤️ He'll forever be in our hearts and know he's watching over us ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
