JACQUELINE PAIGE PILGRIM
(JACQUIE)
July 13, 1974 – June 21, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Jacqueline (Jacquie) Paige Pilgrim (née Johnston) on June 21, 2025, at Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by her loving family.
Jacquie was predeceased by her grandparents, her sister Nicole, and her father Adam. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 30 years, Jason; her children, Brandon (Natalie) and Ainsley (Cade); her mother Donna; her sister Alison (Ken); her lifelong best friends Amber and Loren; and many extended family members.
Born on July 13, 1974, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Jacquie brought warmth, love, and laughter to everyone who knew her. She met the love of her life, Jason, at the age of 16 at Co-op Gas Station on Keewatin. They married in 1995 and welcomed their son Brandon a year later. Their family was complete with the arrival of their daughter Ainsley in 1998.
Above all, Jacquie’s proudest accomplishments were her children. She poured her heart into raising a close, loving family and created a home filled with joy, creativity, and unforgettable meals.
Jacquie had a passion for travel, treasured time spent with loved ones, and had a talent for crafting that matched her incredible cooking skills. Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful healthcare staff on Unit D6 at HSC for the compassion, care, and dignity they provided during Jacquie’s final days. Your kindness and support meant the world to us and will never be forgotten.
A celebration of Jacquie’s life will be held at 603 Wellington Crescent on July 5, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. In accordance with the family’s wishes, a private family graveside service will follow at Brookside Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jacquie’s memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choice.
"Those we love never truly leave us — they live on in the memories we cherish and the love we share."

Jacquie is such a dear friend—her laugh is absolutely contagious, and her can-do spirit lights up every room she’s in. She's the kind of person who always finds a way, the one who has your back no matter what.
One of the most meaningful things she’s taught me is to stand firm—to not let my insecurities call the shots. That lesson alone has had a huge impact on my life, and for that, I’ll always be grateful.
And of course, I can’t forget her legendary generosity—or her signature cheese ball recipe, which I still can't manage to put together myself. I will
miss you.. its our birthday month😭"I’m praying for strength and comfort for your family during this incredibly difficult time. May you rest in peace, and may your loved ones feel surrounded by love and support in light of your passing."

Jacquie had such a warm kind presence, and she will be deeply missed. Our hearts are with you Jason, Brandon, Ainsley and all who loved her.

Just too sad for words. Jacquie always gave the greatest hugs whenever I'd see her in Killarney. We always talked about cooking and shared recipes. She had such a warm presence and you couldn't help but love her as soon as you met her. My condolences to Jason and Brandon and Ainsley and the rest of the family.
